You can get the parts from www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kit that includes the parts and instructions to fix the following models (50UX58B, 60UX58B, 50UX58K, 60UX58K, 50SBX78B or 60SBX78B). The kit includes the E994 pico fuse and the C707 capacitor.

How do i fix the line on my vizio 60 inch smart tv?

Good day,
Eh, lines are usually due to the screen being hit and an electrical open appearing in the panel. Sometimes, if the device has been knocked or fallen, the panels connector may have come loose. I would open the TV and look for the video board to see if the connections are still good. Give them a wiggle and see if the line clears.
BE CAREFUL OF HIGH VOLTAGES INSIDE THE BACK !!!

Good luck...

The TV is making a very high pitched noise. The longer it is on the louder it gets.

Easy repair with some Super glue.Must take the tv back cover out.The FBT-the big block of plastic with a red wire with a cap hook to a CRT(tv tube). It have a high voltage gap going through a "3 inches paper clip steel bar on a FBT the big black plastic block.Put some super glue on that "3 inches paper clip steel bar on that big black plastic block.Should stop the high voltages gaps through that "3 inches paper clip steel bar causing a high pitched noises.

Hatachi 60sbx78b 60 in. rear projection. Won't power up

set is in shutdown--some of these sets have problems with Glycol leaking out of one of the picture tubes---look and carefully check the first few inches from the front of the circuit boards--it will be a clear liquid or look like model airplane glue--it shorts things out--if you see the liquid do not touch it---it is like anti-freeze but much more concentrated and toxic---each picture tube has a sealed area full of the coolant--if it is Glycol---forget about it and get another set----this set is also prone to the High Voltage Transformer going bad---unsolder it and the Horz output transistor and see what happens.

good luck, Steve

Hitachi 60SBX78B No sound or Video

replace pico fuse E994 and capacitor C707. You have to disconect alot of wires and remove the screws holding the boards. you DON'T have to remove the large high voltage wires. You have to stand the board on it"s edge to unsolder the components from the back side of board. Good luck it worked fine for me. fcs0998@aol.com gene

I have a magavox big screen

Hello cce357,

This can be any number of things, here is a possible listing:

1) No High Voltage (check the IHVT or the trippler)

2) CRT filament transformer winding open (check the windings that supply voltage to the CRT filaments)

3) Video / CRT socket boards bad (highly unlikely but check anyway)

4) High Voltage power supply malfunctioning (related to problem #1)

This listing is a good starting point. I would suggest that you purchase a schematic to aid in testing the voltages mentioned in the 4 steps above. If you have a background in electronics then do the above, if not please ask a qualified TV technician to perform these steps.

Thank you,

I hope this helps,
