Both filters perform the same task.

The filters reduce excess red tones that affect daylight film when shooting early morning or late evening. They are also effective if your flash exposures are too 'warm'. The filters I believe have a filter factor of 1.3 and require 1/3 f-stop of additional light.

My photos come out a pink-violet hue. camera is set on auto.

That is a problem with either old film or poor processing. Unless you're using a filter on your camera lens, colors like that are related to unstable film or poor/contaminated film processing.

What lens can I use the the Nikon N6006 35 mm SLR Camera?

The Nikon N6006 will use just about any Nikon F-mount lens made in the past 55 years. About the only exceptions are some rare (and very expensive) fisheye lenses and the newer DX lenses specifically designed for digital cameras.

I have a nikon d 40 and was wondering if the display screen can be used to preview the shot instead of using the eye piece .

The Nikon D40 is not equipped with the Live View feature which allows the user to use the camera's LCD to preview the shot. You can only use the viewfinder eye piece.

I am taking the photographs of the wooden lacquered vase with my mark II but when I photograph; there is a light reflect in it which my client doesn't want. how can avoid these light and shades.

Use a polarising filter on the front of the lens and then adjust the filter to remove the reflection.

If you're using flash lighting then also consider where your light sources are and use diffusers on them.

Is my 105 mm telephoto that was used with Nikormat body interchangeable with new Nikon Digital cameras?

Some Nikon digital SLR will use the older lens in a very limited manner. Here is a chart that may help: http://www.nikonians.org/nikon/slr-lens.html

What are the best filters for my canon t70

Any Canon FD lens will work. Also any 3rd party lens for the Canon FD mount.
Filters? depends on what you're shooting, but keep a UV or Skylight filter on the lens at all times. If you drop it, the damage will happen to the filter...not the lens.

I would like to know what these do

Bower is brand name skylight is slightly yellow helps soften light there are diffrent densitys. Filter is mostly used to protect orginal glass of lens from dirt smudges scratches & rough treatment. Keep on lens most of the time.

Hyda brand name. PL 3 i believe to be a dark polarizing filter.

Quantaray 1A4 I believe is a haze or skylight filter.
Haze filter does almost the same as a skylight filter.

Hanimex brand name. Polarizing filter used to shoot through reflective glass or surfaces (water), also in color used to sharpen colors. The reason it is turnable is it is light directional beaning light comes through it at a angal hold up to light & turn it you can see how it darkens or litens. Also can stay on lens when not useing skylight filter.

reason you have 2 is one of each for two diffrent lens, 49mm & 55mm.

Hope this helped. Please rate.Thank You.

Will my olmpus lenses fit on a nikon n75 slr 35mm camera

Generally, the lenses used with the Olympus cameras will not be compatible with the Nikon cameras.

However, there are some converter adapters available in the market. You can look for the Olympus to Nikon converter adapters. These adapters will help you in using the Olympus lenses with the Nikon cameras.

Minolta maxxum 300si (Filters?)

Hey sunnibeach4,
On SLR cameras the filters are attached to the end of the lens via threads inside the end of the lens barrel. Without knowing exactly what lens you are using I can't tell you what filter diameter you need but most lenses list that information on the inside rim of the front of the lens. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Nikon FE shutter speeds problem

I don't know, but it's worth a try. I took mine to the camera store, because my shutter wouldn't even work anymore, even with fresh batteries in it. He again tried new batteries, and turned the shutter speed knob from Automatic all the way over to "B" for Bulb, and back to the Auto. Guess What! I haven't used the camera in 3-5 years because I thought it was broke and going to need factory repair. Well, this tricked worked for me. I was so thrilled, because my daughter wanted some double exposures and special filters shots for her wedding. Also the weight of the camera I couldn't handle anymore with a health problem, so I went to digital, but would love a Nikon good digital.
Good Luck!
