Xd cards on my olympus (stylus 710) camera to computer

I have an xd card that goes in my camera and says that there is nothing on it...but when i put it into my printer to transfer to my computer there are things from months ago that still come up and are already saved to my computer. it says with the hp photosmart transfer that it may be because my date is wrong on the camera, but it IS correct. and when it lets me change it, it just goes back to the card on the same old date. i have repeatedly changed it. Is there a way that I can delete those pictures completely from the card if there is no access from the camera?

You will want to format the memory card in the camera. This will permanently remove all of the data from the card. To do this go to Menu - right arrow to Setup - press Ok - select Format - right arrow - select Yes and then press Ok. The camera will indicate Busy as it is performing the operation. When done the camera should read No picture. You will then be able to start taking brand new images again.

Attached my memory chip to my computer....now my camera acting wierdly..dealer says it is infected wid virus and the only solution is changing the mem chip...any other solution?!help!plz!

Yes, reconnect it to your PC and run an antivirus scan.

I've seen this before on Olympus camera's and the little XD card. Once you given it a scan, make sure the contacts on the card are clean, use a soft dry cloth. And give the card connectors in the camera a blow, clear out any dust which may have creapt in.

I just deleted a picture on my camera I didn't get to load onto my computer. Is there a way to recover it? I have an xD memory card.

Take the card to a store like Walmart that has a Kodak picture maker machine. Insert your card and your picture should show up.

Stylus 710 Memory card error

try formatting on another fuji/olympus or on a computer, and then again in your camera. this should work no problem. Usually this is just a file system error. In the odd case it is a card or camera error but not likely at all.

Ruined Memory Card??

No one can expend efforts to diagnose, repair or let alone talk to you about what may be a 25 to 30 dollar memory card. I've had dozens of such failures but I deal with a fleet of devices and these are spread over the world now. The card, if the camera will not format it is tossed and you get a new one. Whatever you plugged it into is marked as suspect and I'd not do that again.
