Question about Creative Labs ZEN V Plus MP3 Player

1 Answer

Frozen on radio station

My Zen V Plus 2 gb is frozen on a radio station.
It is unresponsive...it won't turn off, change volume, record, change functions, etc.
I've tried hooking it up to my computer via USB cable, but nothing changes.
I've read that it can be reset with a paper clip...how exactly is that done?
Thanks for your help.

On the side, near the power slider, there is a small hole. Gently stick the end of a paperclip in there and it will re-set the player.

Creative zen v problems-frozen

If a reset does not work using the reset hole, then try this: First, back up all of your music and do this: Turn off the player and disconnect it from the computer. Then press and hold the play/puse button and turn it on simultaneously. The player should be in recovery mode. Scroll down and select format (all) and let it format. Then reload all of music back onto your player and it should work like new. Hope this helps!

Reset method is power + volume + at the same time

Probably, however, you just need to go to the new station and press the play button to confirm the radio station change - then it will play the correct station

Zen V Plus 4 GB

Have you tried updating the firmware of your Zen V Plus? I've had mine for almost an year and haven't had these issues -- I updated the firmware as soon as I unpacked it.

try downloading the
MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok
