Are you installing the correct fusing inline near the battery and are you sure that you're hooking the amp up properly? Sounds to me like something isn't being wired properly.

It's possible you overfilled the power steering reservoir or perhaps spilled some that leaked down on the exhaust manifold. That would cause a lot of smoke until it burned off.

Amp messed up got 24 volts instead of 12 how to fix

Here is what I need you to do so that I can help you try to fix this. I need you to open up your amp take some pictures. I will need some of the overall view, then take two seperate picteures closer dividing the amp in half. They should look like one really big picture of the overall amp. Then finaly I need you to take some pictures of the problem. I am sure that witht the pop and smoke that you saw and heard you shold be able to find the problem really quick. With all of this and from the way is sounds this could be a really easy fix. onle last thing do you have a soldering iron, solder and a wet sponge.?

Foul play or not

sounds like foul play but we must be sure, are the tires that were installed the exact same size as the rear? they have to be in order for the vehicles powertrain to run correctly, if they are not the same size then that is the reason for your problem. Where was the smoke coming from? Front of vehicle or under neath? and what caused the transdifferencial to go bad? did the tell you. do some research for me and we will get this taken care of. and ask them to explain how they know the trans differencial is bad and let me know.thanks

V12 MRV-1507 or Xplod? Amplifier - XM-ZR1252 good quality sound

Alpine is just a better brand in general. I have the older MRV-1507, sounds GREAT, i have had friends who has had the Explode line, but it was always a temporary system until they got something better, like the alpine or kenwood.

MRV - 1507 Question ...

The MRV-1507 is a two channel amplifier, below I've pasted important info from the manual:

Battery Lead (Sold Separately)
Be sure to add a 80 amp fuse as close as possible
to the battery’s positive (+) terminal. This fuse will
protect your vehicle’s electrical system in case of a
short circuit. If you need to extend this lead, the wire
gauge should be AWG8 or larger.
MRV-1507 ... 80A amp fuse

Power Output: RMS Continuous Power (at 12.0V, 20 Hz to 20
kHz)
MRV-1507
Per channel into 4 ohms ......................... 150W, 0.08% THD
Per channel into 2 ohms .......................... 300W, 0.3% THD
Bridged into 4 ohms ................................ 600W, 0.3% THD

You can find a manual for this amp here:

V12 / xplod issues questions

sounds to me like you have a poor ground, which is causing the amp to overheat. make sure you have as large a gauge wire for the ground as you can and make sure it has a good connection to metal this should solve your problem.
