Load Paper in Feeder Error Message

Having a problem with the Canon DR-3080CII scanner. Quite office when I try to scan documents (regardless of the number of pages) I will receive a 'load paper in feeder' error message. This occurs after I place the paper in the feeder and select a transmittal option. The scanner was checked and the technician has indicated that this is not a hardware issue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We have been turning it off and on, but it will work for a few days and then we repeat this process. I thought there would be a 'reason' why this happens. I have noticed that the scanners that are used more frequently encounter this problem. Could this be related?

I had this problem b-4, sometimes you have to turn the printer on and off seceral times befor it works. if you go to your trouble shooting under printer problems you take like a survey to find the problem. was it on when there was a storm? sometimes that can cause an error in the system to. sometimes you just have to repeat over and over w/ turning the computer and printer on and off several times until it works. good luck!!!

Tray lifts to meet the rollers then drops back down. Error message 'No page was found in the feeder'

Clean the 'black dot' in the centre of the paper tray. There is an optical sensor under that. The tray will lift even without paper, but will go back immediately.
If the scanner stops after 3 pages, check disk space in your computer. If you are scanning in TIFF uncompressed, it takes lot of space. For color and Grey try JPG format, for mono TIFF G4 is the ideal option.

When scanning, there are lines on the image I have scanned.

Use a blank sheet of paper (as white and clean as possible). Put it in the scanner landscape ( you will need to cut off about 1/2 inch of the paper to make it fit. The run the DR-3080CII Shading tool (DR3KUserSh.exe) C:\Program Files (x86)\Canon Electronics\DR-3080CII\DR3KUserSh.exe

We are only getting half of the scanned document. Why?

Check your software settings on page size. Have you by chance switched 'on' to scan a page into two halves?

Canon DR-9080c scanner not lifting error no page found in feeder

There is a paper sensor just under the rolers in the lifting tray. Clean the area thoroughly with a damp cloth. Keep some sheets and try ]count only'. If it works then the sensor is okay, then you can try your scanning. If it is not sensing paper, check the sensor or connections to the sensor.

Canon DR-3080cii paperjam

The 3 paper sensors are located along the center of the paper path. They are: Registration (lever type) on the bottom between separation & registration. Look for lever damage or torn paper. Scan Start (reflective) on the top between registration & front reading roller. Clean the sensor window with qtip & alcohol. Delivery (lever) at the eject roller. Same as reg, but harder to see due to location. The feed roller exchange kit is 6915A001. The rollers in this machine are not considered user replaceable.

Canon DR-3080 CII Scanner

I recieved this error when trying to scan pages in using our new Kofax scanning solution with a DR-3080CII. I discovered that the latest canon driver for that scanner was not compatible with the software and it made the application hang in the background. I found an older driver that was compatible and installed it, no more error.

If the scanners keeps blinking while powering on, it is because it has not been intialised. Check for loose shreds of paper in the paper path. Unless the scanner intialises, it cannot scan. If simpel 'countonly' option works, then the scanner is okay.
