After using the set for 10 to 20 minutes, I hear poping sound and then light flickring and picture goes out. Or sometimes picture goes out after 20 minutes without a pop sound but red sometime white light flash and goes to blank screen. But power light stays green until I turn the tv off from remote.
After leaving the tv set off for 10 minutes, I can turn the tv back on and picture comes back on. And same cycle can be repated all day.
Any solution to this issue..
thanks

Rear projection hdtv, most likely damaged tubes. Don't repair this by your self get a tv repair man to do it before you injure your self.
Well usually if the tube is damaged the colour will be distorted when viewing a program. Also another thing that could be causing the tv to turn off would be a damaged microchip, or a part burnt out cause what it seems like is that it overheated and some part might of gotten heat damaged. I have a rear projection 67" hdtv aswell and we had some problems in the past that was covered under our 5 year warrenty program. The thing is that these tv's get hot inside and there isn't any built in fan to cool it down. Maximum you should be watching tv is 4 hours then give it a good hour or two to coold own before using it again will prolong it's life. Do note that it could be a damaged transformer, there are many things that could be wrong. It's hard to pinpoint the problem with out going in and doing some diagnostics. Best bet is to look around for a repair man to fix the tv. Most likly for the couple minutes then shut off, it would clearly be that some part inside of the tv has had heat damaged and is now overheating. The shutting off of the tv is a saftey mechanism to eliminate more damage to the part inside of the tv. Good luck if you have any more questions feel free to ask away.
