Hi, it the tv has an integrated digital tuner it is simply a matter of going into the settings menus available from the remote control and electiong autotune, the set should then serach for / intall the chanels and the you will save the search and that is it...done. The set may have the option of eaither digital or analogue reception in which case you should select digital and then search for the tuning options menu in the settings screen.
For people who do not have digital reception, digital channels can be got by obtaining a digibox, a DVB receiver. This would be connected to the tv via a scart lead. On switching the tv and digibix on the box installation guide will take you through the installation procedure. It is all very straightforward
Get a zenith universal remote with enter button, go to channel setup and it will apear cable- air, choose cable but press enter on the remote and it will start to program itself and let it finish, it will take like 10-15 min to scan
imm not an expert, but im fairly certain you might be using a universal remote? perhaps you configured both devices on the same button setting? (the buttons that say tv, vcr/dvd, cable. etc) You might have somehow put them both on tv or it may have screwed up and assigned them both to dvd or whatever. try reprogramming the remote?
If its not the universal, it might be that the remote for your projector is somehow sending a signal to your tv that wasnt originally intended! in this case--pretty cool akshully ;)
if you can figure this out i would recommend contacting the projector companys customer service--they might have gotten a call about a similar issue--and aside from the annoyance of having to do that, it helps the company to weed out all the techie problems in future products :). Hope you get it figured out and hopefully that helps you!
Hello, I haven't found the codes for either remote. I did manage to find the menu after combining the volume buttons together. I have got the channel's to work by going to the menu and adding the channel's.
your not saposed to use your tv remote to change chanels if you put it on input 2, im assuming you have a cable box, that is plugged into input 2, and if you are using the cable remote, after you put the tv on input 2, make sure you push the little cable buttom at the top of the remote befor you change the chanel
as far as it turning off on its own I would get a fan on it and see if that make a difference make sure that the fan is able to flow around the tv especially through the back of it, if this stops it from turning off then it is an overheating problem
Sounds like it has one of two problems first one could be a stuck button. The micro locks up and the set wont come on also could be causing the channel scrolling run you finger along the channel buttons. Other than that you would need a new signal board you have a locked up micro...this part will be No longer Available.
