Also, recheck your tension knobs. If the thread isn't actually pushed into the tension knobs fully, it won't sew. This isn't a problem for machines with lay-in tension, but with the knobs, you have to be careful to place the thread properly--and firmly--at the tension knobs. Hope this helps.

Make sure the needle is pushed in properly.

What twin needles do I get for my overlocker ,It is a Janome Mylock 134D Are the needles universal or do I have to get a special one for this machine

I think Janome Mylock 134 has 2 separate needles. They are #11 or #14 for sergers and secured by 2 independent setscrews. I saw on ebay the instruction book with the owner's handbook for Janome Mylock 134D.

MyLock 134D coverstitch?

While the ML134D is a very good entry level overlocker/serger, for coverstitch you will need a different or dedicated machine.
Janome has recently introduced a new model that is a combined Professional Coverstitch/Overlocker it is model 1200 D (Link) and is truly amazing in the diversity of stitch options
Their other coverstitch only machines are the CoverPro 900 & 1000 www.bargainbox.com.au

Janome 134D Overlocker

Set you differential at 1.0 and your loopers at about 3-4 the needle thread tensions are usually around 5 to 6.
I would also suggest that you place four different color threads on machine to make it easier to adjust all. Now if you are using only 3 threads the same applies.
 Also------patience.
