HTC 710 and water

My phone recently fell into water for about 30 secs. Will this automatically destroy the phone or does it eventually "dry out"

Hi Dropped my HTC S710 in water for around 15 - 20 sec. I tried turnign it on quite a few times nothgin happened. Then I took of the battery and let it dry after around 6 hours I again tried but now I can hear a buzz with Red light in the battery indicator on. it's still just over 8 hours since that incident took place, any idea if it will work.

Put it in a bag of rice over night as this will draw the water out then try?

Wet Cell Phone

Immediately remove the phone from the water, turn off the cell phone, remove the battery and SIM card. To dry out the cell phone put it in a large plastic bag with silica gel drying crystals then put it in a warm sunny place for several days or in front of a warm fan heater for several hours. Reassemble the phone and hope it will work properly again, but if does not work then it is faulty and you need a new cell phone.

I have an HTC (HD2) cell phone that fell in water... it still works but the lcd/screen does not work... I can only receive calls.. What should I do???

I'm sure by now you have gotten the problem resolved with a replacement phone. If not, drop the phone into a bag of dry white rice. Remove the battery and leave the cover off to expedite the drying.

Wet G1 Tmobile htc fell in water a while ago

Don't turn it on until it's dry again.
Maybe it could work again.
If not, you'll need to take to a cell phone fix place.
