If you can give me more details I may give you a better solution but anyway for what you are saying sounds like there is another wireless router near by transmitting through the same wireless channel as your Belking.

So just log in to your wireless router and change the channel ( they go from 1 to 11 or up to 13 if you are in USA and other countries).

Hope my answer helps.

Signal strength went from Good to Low

Either move the computer closer to the router or the router closer to the computer. You could also try connecting the usb adapter to a usb hub to remove any interference from the computer.

Cant connect to a new labtop

1, You should always secure your Wireless. 2, try different channels, setup the dual-bands as 2 SSID, 1-2.4 and the other as 5.0 with diferent channels. I would suspect it's the laptop, Disable the UAC and the Anti Virus. Is the wireless adapter, on the laptop turned on? Do you see the Wireless listed in Available Wireless Networks? For dual-band setup :http://www.pcworld.com/article/229521/dlink_setup_a_wireless_router.html

How do I attach a better aerial to my wireless G plus MIMO router?

Hi,

You cannot attach any extra aerial to the Belkin router, even if you attach it will not help you to increase the wireless signal strength. Its of no use in adding extra serial.

Thanks in Advance!

With regards,
Prema.

My icon says I only have 80% signal strength, is

80% is a good signal strength....but if you want to increase the signal strength, then you need to move the wireless router to a very ventilated area, also the router should be placed atleast 5 feet away from other electronic devices like, modem, ups, microwave ovens, refrigerators etc.... also there should be a line of sight between the router and the wi-fi adapter... but in order to connect to a wireless network 25% of signal strength is enough....

Belkin Router Signal Weak

Wireless configurations are tempermental over larger distances. Some routers do have the ability to increase the signal strength to over come this, but a good location is key.

The more obsticals in the way the slower the connection will become. Closed doors, being buried under books, underneath desks, can all cause the signal to come through a slower speeds to compensate.

Make sure your router is in an elevated location to help with a less blocked signal.

Are you using a Wireless-N adapter on your computer? If not, you might need an extender because Wireless-G does not have the same range as -N.

With the model number of your Belkin router I might be able to assist more.

Can I boost signal strength?

You will need to get hold of a Belkin Wireless G Universal Range Extender relays the signals of your wireless network and extends its range model number F5D7132 from PC world or another online dealer.

You will still need the wireless router as the central connection point, using the booster your network now reaches further I have one at the top of the stairs with the Router downstairs to I can browser wirelessly in the loft conversion of my old house

My Belkin F5D8053 is working in low strength

If you're encountering a very internet connection on your router, this is can be a problem with either the internet connection from your modem or the firmware of the router should be updated, first thing that you can try is to update the firmware of the firmware of the router, you can download the latest firmware of it from Belkin web site then after that observe the connection if you still have a slow internet using the router , Try to check now the internet from your modem by connecting a computer directly to your modem and if you still have the same problem internet connection from your ISP is the problem so you can contact them about that..........
