I can't seem to figure out how to connect a vocal microphone or were to plug it in in the onkyo tx- sr804 please help!!

for modern receiver, it normally does not allow vocal microphone input. vocal microphone requires an amplification stage which are not normally there. to do this, you'll either need to buy a very cheap mic preamp or a karaoke machine to do this

Is there a microphone built into the recorder and how do you get it to work

If your recorder has a microphone-in jack on it you can plug a mic into it directly and that will be recorded as the signal to whatever you're recording to. Your local Radio Shack will carry the plug converters you'll need if your microphone plug is either too large or too small for your mic-in jack.
Good luck! William

I am trying to use a microphone with the Insignia Receiver 5.1 Channel. I am plugging my microphone jack into the microphone set-up slot. I turn on the button but get no sound through speakers. What do I...

Check if the impedance of the microphone is the same of the microphone set-up slot. High impedances devices such as microphones have to match exactly between jack and input. Good Luck.

Can I use the SR701 as a public address amp? Does not seem to be a labelled microphone input.

You would need a microphone preamp/mixer to connect a mic; or a pre-amplified microphone that has a Line Level output.

Whatever you do, be very careful to not have a feedback loop between the microphone and your speakers or you can kiss your tweeters goodbye.

Microphone for my YAMAHA HTR-5440

Let me make this clear to you that your Yamaha does not support Microphone but the trick is you can still do it. All you need is a stereo jack to a RCA connector cable.Check this out http://www.mediacollege.com/audio/connection/jack-stereo-rca-2.html It is easily available in the market. The stereo jack will fit into your microphone and the RCA to your Amplifier/Reciever. Plug the RCA into CD/Tape input but not in the Phono n do your thing. Let me know if this works, coz I'm really curious.

How do i disconnect my HBH PV703 Headset from a damaged phone and connect it to another Phone

Step 1 - To reset your Bluetooth headset:
  1. Press and hold down the volume keys "+" and "-" on your headset at the same time, until your hear a beep and the light flashes red and green alternately.
  2. Press and hold down the volume keys on your headset until it is turned off. The headset is now reset as it was when purchased.
Step 2 - To pair the headset with your phone:
  1. Make sure the headset is turned off.
  2. Turn on the Bluetooth function and Bluetooth visibility in your phone (This makes the phone visible to other Bluetooth devices).
  3. Place the phone within 20 cm (8 inches) from the headset.
  4. Press and hold down the call handling key on the headset until it beeps, shows a steady green light and then flashes red and green alternately. If the indicator light only flashes red or green, simultaneously press and hold down both volume keys until the headset beeps and flashes red and green alternately.
  5. If your phone supports auto pairing, press "Yes" when you are asked to add the headset to the phone. If not, check your phone User Guide on how to pair the Bluetooth device. If required, the headset passcode is 0000.
  6. The headset beeps and flashes green when successfully paired.

Shure wireless headset microphone

The most likely problem is a bad connection between the jack and the internal PC board. If you can solder, you may be able to resolve this yourself. Be careful NOT to alter any of the internal coils. Try resoldering the connector and update this if that fails to resolve the problem.

I need help!!! my headset is buzzing lol

check the audio setting. If AUX is turned on instead of Microphone, it will cut out because its waiting for an input from another source.

make sure the LINE-IN isnt turned on or the S/pdif-in.

Only have on the ( PLAYBACK, WAVE, CD AUDIO, MIDI, and Microphone. And there not muted or turned down.

If its USB it may need drivers but they should have come on a CD with it.

Also make sure that if your using sound card, that its set up in the audio properties to be the audio renderer
