Ok do one thing at first remove the power adapter from the router and put in at same time when you put in the power adapter cable at that time you have to press the reset button give in the back side of the router you have to do at least press the button upto five sec. after then you have to configure agian your router .

after configuration your router then go to the wireless option in ther enable the the wireless secutiy. and one option is there in wireless secutiy in that the wep, wap, wep+wap keys is there .enable the wep key and protect your router.

I have been running a Linksys BEFSR41 version 2 wired router for over 5 years without any problems. My wife is a teacher and her school p[urchased new laptops recently so I decided to go wireless. Got on...

I think the most likely problem is that both routers are using different IP address ranges and won't allow data to pass between them.
I suggest you use only the Linksys wireless router.

RESETTING WIRELESS ROUTER

You don't have to reset the router to use it for a wired connection. You will need an Ethernet cord connected directly to the device that you want internet connectivity for. Such as a Desktop or Laptop
I hope this helps. Have good day!

No, you should however, log into your Linksys's admin page and copy your settings down. Put those back into your Netgear and you should be good to go.

Linksys wrt54gs cant connect..

hi try this before you hit the reset botton. Check if Windows XP firewall or 3rd party firewall are blocking the pings, and temporarily disable them just to be sure. The WRT54GS has a feature called "AP Isolation", It's on the "Wireless -> Advanced Settings" page. You won't need it for home use so turn it off as well. Last thing, do a firmware upgrade. Hope it's helps Good luck.
