I just got a vintage camera. It's called an Ansco Memar. The full name may be "Ansco Memar Pronto." I didn't receive a manual with it. HOW CAN I open the little compartment where the film goes?

If you look on the left side (held up like you're taking a picture), there's a strip that's black and silver. On the bottom of the strip is a really small, very hard to see tab that kind of blends in with the strip- push down on it with a fingernail and the back should pop open.

I have an Ansco Regent JN-287 projector & am looking for a users manual or repair manual does anyone have any idea where to find one?

Possible manual for sale on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B016E3K7XG/ref=tmm_other_meta_binding_used_olp_sr?ie=UTF8&condition=used&qid=&sr=

Possibly manual on eBay.

Since it appears to be a very antique type of equipment from 1961 or earlier, it may be difficult to locate a repair manual.

Film developing

If you email them and threaten to complain to CVS about their poor customer service they will send you an email. They are not even in this country. Had I known that before sending my film off I would of tried another option. They advertise 10-14 days delivery. I have never received my pictures. I do get an email from someone about once a week telling me they are shipping them express mail and blaming our Postal Service. Good Luck

How do you open the film compartment

Film releases are on the sides, or bottoms of cameras. Make sure the film is fully rewinded before you open it (or open it in pitch black, and manually rewind the film into the canister).

To open the film compartment, pull down on the latch at the bottom of the left side of the camera and swing out the hinged back. Turn the winding spool until the slot is on top. Do not attempt to remove this spool from the camera. Check this webpage for a copy of the manual and these instructions on page 12.

What type of type of 120 film should i use in my ansco titan?

You can use any 120 film in your Ansco. The ideal choice will depend on your intended use. As the selection of such film is dwindling, you may find your choice largely made by what is available. The manual for your camera is available at < http://www.cameramanuals.org/agfa_ansco/ansco_titan_20.pdf>. You will need a light meter, or be willing to learn how to estimate exposure. Google for "sunny 16" which is an old rule of thumb asserting that you can set the shutter speed to the film ISO number and the aperture to F16 for photos in direct sun.
