Kia ora my 4x4 quad bayou spark plug black not much spark wont start like no petrol getting in engine carby all good firstly cutting out then start no problem now wont start

Sounds like it is running too rich therefore causing sooting (Black) this will inhibit the spark from igniting the fuel as you need a 14.7/1 air/fuel mix. Suggest you screw in the air screw and count turns, it should be 1 1/2 to 2 turns. Unscrew it back by that amount of turns if you don't have a manual to check?

Also check the air intake is not blocked

hi u need 3 things for a motor to run spark petrol and compression buy a new plug earth it on the side of the motor with lead on it and pull the cord to check spark///// next pull the cord with youre finger over plug hole to check for compression and last check for petrol in carby it might need a clean ......good luck. .

Why engine not starting,it got an electric fuel pump ive put on to replace cam pump?
Have you done the obvious like checking fuel flow and testing spark plugs for a good spark ? The electric pump could be over fueling. If you have good spark try a little engine start down the carbi - watch out for blow back. Also check the petrol, it could be old.

My 5.5 honda engine on my lawnmower will start but wont stay running already cleaned the carb out didnt help there is no restrictions in the fuel lines im lost please help
it sounds like a fuel problem.
first drian fuel out of tank.
i know you have already cleaned the carby but dis assemble carby and clean with carby cleaner.
re assemble carby & fill tank with fresh fuel.
also clean air filter & check oil level & check spark plug,if the spark plug is black and the tip is blocked with oil build up, then replace.

49cc mini pocket quad wont start
if it has a kill switch make sure it is on, check that you are getting spark at the plug and have the right fuel in the motor.
Remove the air filter from the carbi and squirt some 2 stroke fuel directly into the throat of the carbi and try to start it.
