Xp doesnt have drivers to operate hp laserjet connected on vista

A hp laserjet 3050 is connected to vista..all settings are in place. but when i try to enable printer sharing on the xp machine it says additional drivers are required for different versions of windows. but it cannot find the right drivers. I also got pretty confused at the HP site. Please help to solve this problem or assist in finding the right drivers.

Hi kalp123 - It sounds like you've got the printer connected to two different machines. That means you need drivers for whatever operating system is on each machine. Below is the link for the drivers for XP. Choose the first driver listed under drivers when you scroll down the page. Let me know if it works out. Same Driver will not work for win7 64 bit even if you share the printer it needs the driver for win7 64.
You will have to download the driver for win7 64bit and install in that system.

Does nt work with xp/vista

You probably need to update the drivers for Vista and/or XP to work with this printer. Select the operating system you have and download the drivers.

hi give me your Printers model number..

or you could go to www.hp.com and put in your printers model number and get the drivers..

as far as i remember only one laserjet model did'nt have vista drivers..
