Yes. I have had my Dell 1700 printer since early 1997 or 1998 and have replaced the toner cartridge 3 times, self cleaned about once a year or two and it has survived 7 moves with the US Coast Guard overseas and in country. I can't really say it stands out since this was the 1st and only laser printer I have ever owned, but, I think it's longevity muct speak for itself. I can say that as far as my printing applications hve gone over the past decade, I hve owned 6 inkjet printers and spent thousands of dollars on ink for my many digital photos from around the world, yet, my Dell 1700 is the old reliable with only 3 toner refills, (the good one's, not remanufactered, about $59- 80 dollars depending on area of country), so, I must say I am very pleased with th product and it's durability.
