Chiquititas and oswaldjude sound like they have a similar problem. Try disconnecting the Clip, turning it off, setting the slider switch on the left to "Hold", and then reconnecting to USB while holding the center button down. Continue to hold the button for about 5 - 7 more seconds before releasing.

For 31188, what version of Windows are you running? Depending on what version of WMP you have, there are different ways to see the songs on your Clip in the interface.

How to Add Songs on Samsung YP-U3 MP3 Players

The Samsung YP-U3 is an MP3 player that comes in various colors. This device has a built-in USB plug, so it's not necessary to have a cable to transfer songs from your computer. To transfer songs to your device, you will need to use a PC. If you don't have the Samsung Media Center installation disc, you can download the software from the Samsung website.

Instructions

Install the Samsung Media Center if you have not done so. This is the software used to transfer songs to the YU-P3. The installation disc comes with the device. Simply insert it and follow the on-screen prompts.

Insect the bottom end of your device. You'll see a hidden USB plug on the end. Push it outward to extend it. Plug the device into your computer's USB port. This is usually on the front of the tower. The Samsung Media Center will automatically start after a few seconds.

Locate the file you want to transfer to the device. The Media Center's screen will display the MP3 (and other audio) files currently on your computer. When you find a file you want to add, click on it.

Click on the "Right Arrow" button. This transfers the song to the device. Repeat to transfer more songs, if desired.

Right click on the green USB icon on the right-side of your taskbar. Select "Safely Remove." Unplug your Samsung YP-U3 when prompted.

Hope it helped..

Have a nice day...

Tip

Connect MP3 Player To Computer and Transfer MP3 Songs From Computer To MP3...

To successfully transfer songs either MP3 or WMA files to your MP3 player follow these steps.

1) If your device came with a CD insert this into your computer and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the device has no CD most PCs will recognise the device and update the drivers automatically once you have connected it via USB cable.

2) Connect the device to the PC using USB cable. With many players this is the only means of charging the device.

3) On your computer go to 'Start' - 'My Computer' and you should see the device listed as a USB Mass Storage or Removable Disk.

4) Click and highlight the songs you want to transfer to the MP3 player. You can either drag and drop them directly into the USB Mass Storage Folder shown in Step 3 or you can right click the song file and select 'Send To' USB Mass Storage Device.

5) The songs are now on your MP3 player.

6) Disconnect the player from the USB cable. The player will take a moment to update and you can now play the songs on the player.

Note: In order to transfer music files from a CD these must first be converted to MP3 in order for the player to be able to play them. To do this you can use Windows Media Player to 'Rip' the songs onto your computer in MP3 format. From here use the steps above to transfer them onto the player.

If your MP3 player has video capability these files will need to be converted in to a format that the player can handle. To do this, use the software that came with the device on the CD or you may use a free converter like this one if the original software is lost.

Hope this Tip has helped.

How to get songs back in the coby mp3?

Hello,

On the MP610 you could use either Windows Media Player 11 or Coby Media Manager for transfers of songs.

Next steps are important for adding files onto the player:
1. The player should be detected in the software for transfers, when connecting the USB cable.
2. Setup your library in the software (Add to library): There has to be a list of folders in the software manager, where your music is located on the computer.
3. Create a playlist in the software: make a list of songs, you want to transfer onto your player
4. Sync the playlist onto the player.

When needing more help, just add text in this reply.

Just got my computer back from shop and i can`t put songs on M230

Check to make sure you stll have your driver for the player on your computer. If that does not work try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer?s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings. After doing this if you still cant add music on your player try loading it this way: 1. Free a USB port on your desktop computer. Now, grab the USB cable for your SanDisk Sansa MP3 player and connect the player to your computer. 2. Wait for your computer to find and recognize the player. This may take a few moments. Once you receive a confirmation message, open your computer and scan the icons for the SanDisk MP3 player. 3. Open the SanDisk Sansa MP3 player on your computer. The music files that you currently have saved to the player?s memory are displayed. 4. Open a folder containing music files that is stored in your desktop computer?s memory. Scan the files for songs that you want to transfer to the SanDisk Sansa MP3 player. 5. Left-click on a song file and drag to the SanDisk Sansa window. Drop the file and let your computer complete the transfer. The transferred file appears at the bottom of your music list. 6. Unplug your SanDisk Sansa player from your computer. Turn the player on and allow the file transfer to update to the internal memory of the MP3 player.

Insignia 4MB MP3/video player

File allocation table on your player is corrupt. try to use the following method to transfer files from your player to your c drive... else... all is gone...

You can use Windows Explorer to transfer files to and from your insignia sport player. First, in the settings on your player, go to Settings, USB Mode, Connection Type and select File & Folder. Then, plug your player in to your USB cable. Windows XP should automatically find your player and make a new drive letter in Windows Explorer. Simply drag and drop your files to/from your c drive to the new drive for your player. You'll notice that when you use Windows explorer to delete the files on your new drive for your player that it doesnt remove them from your Music Library on your player. You'll need to use your player (settings, system, erase internal) to erase internal (and external), but after that when you add new files, they will be added to the player when it does the profiling after you disconnect the USB cable.
