Error 116 324

We have a Fuji Xerox Document Centre C240 printer and it shows an error message saying A fault has occurred switch machine off and on. The message error number is 116 324. We have tried to turn it off and on unplug etc but it doesnt work. Is there something I can manually do i.e take it apart etc that will help?

    We have the same problem with teh same printer. Our service provider advised that it is an issue either with the file/media being sent to the printer or an intermittent hardware fault (and may involve replacing the motherboard). A power-cycle gets rid of the error, but no permanent fix yet.

That indicated the machine is not reading the DIMM network chip.
I would think removing the memory chip , cleaning it and reinstalling it would resolve the issue. It is possible the network board is bad. I suspect just an iffy connection with the DIMM memory .

this usually indicates something wrong with the media area..it is either the Hdd..or the ide line that connect it ..or the ESS board that connects the Hdd and the rom ..and it is most probably it ..
anyway you can try to:
Turn off the machine. Remove the HDD. Reboot until the machine reaches ready mode. If no buttons are greyed out, then you must replace the HDD as it would be faulty.

But if you replace it with a new HDD and the fault comes back, it would be a faulty IDE interface board or a faulty ESS board.

But before replacing any board or HDD, do an NVM reset first and repeat the above procedure. Last resort is replacing components ...
for a try to reset you may do this:
try this power off m/c then hold now ket 4/stop/poweer save together n power on the m/c it work for you good luck
the M/c is master cord

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. 116 325 - A failure of the Controller Fan has been detected Or he fan that cools ESS module on the machine has failed. This is not a quick fix, Field Service is required to fix the problem.

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or poor ink cartridge contacts. Sometimes the power supply unit must be checked as a poor SMPS unit can deliver low voltage and cause issues to the printer function. Check all the leads and connections of the mother board , the tags to the ink cartridge. Also check the mechanical settings of the ink cartridge , if jammed or tight remove motor and manually free the drive before it is set back.

To search on a fault code, enter one code at a time. The codes will be displayed on the Touch Screen.
Fault code format: A 3-digit number, followed by a 3-digit number. For example, 010-352.
Viewing Fault and Alert Messages on the Control Panel
When a fault or alert condition occurs, a message will be displayed on the Control Panel to inform you of the problem. Alert messages inform you about printer conditions, such as low supplies or open doors, that require your attention. Fault messages warn you about printer conditions that prevent the printer from printing or degrade printing performance. If more than one condition occurs, only one displays on the Control Panel.
To view a complete list of active fault and alert messages:
  1. Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel.
  2. Select the [Active Messages] tab.

Viewing the Fault History on the Control Panel
When faults occur, they are logged in to a fault history file by date, time, and fault code. Use this list to identify trends and resolve problems.
To view the fault history:
  1. Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel.
  2. Select the [Active Messages] tab.
  3. Select [Fault History]. The screen displays the number, date, time, and image count for each fault code.
The following table represents the system area as represented by the first 3-digits of the fault code:

Xerox Printer not starting, A fault has occurred. Fault Error 116-201

If this does not work. Unplug the machine from the wall while still on
do not power down first. treat it like the power just went off in your building. While the machine is still off not plugged to the wall. Press the power button several times. This will erase any saved info on memory.
Plug machine back on an try again. If it does it again you will need to replace your hard drive and that will take a service call.

I need a list of erro codes and definations for xerox workcentre 7232 serie. and I want the solution to my xerox workcentre 7232 copier. when switched on it shows erro 093-311


When a fault occurs, the touch screen displays a message on how to clear the fault. Some faults indicate customer maintenance, while others require the attention of the Key Operator and/or System Administrator. The following table represents some of the fault codes and their corresponding corrective actions. These may appear in the Print Queue or Faults List available in the Machine Status mode.
002-770 The job template could not be processed due to insufficient hard disk space. Delete unnecessary data from the hard disk.
003-750 No document was saved for the double-sided Booklet Creation feature. Check the setting of the double-sided Booklet Creation feature.
003-751 The specified document area is too small. Select a higher resolution or a larger scan area.
003-754
003-755 An error occurred in the document scanner. Reset the document, and scan again.
003-756 The fax document is completely white. Check that the original is not white, or that the front and back sides have been reversed.
003-760 Incompatible features are selected in the document scan conditions. Check the selected options.
003-761 The paper size in the tray selected by auto tray switching, differs from the paper size in the tray selected at the tray selection. Either change the paper size for the tray, or change the paper type priority setting.
003-763 An error occurred when reading the Gradation Adjustment Chart. Place the chart properly on the document glass.
003-780 Compression of scanned data was unsuccessful. Lower the resolution or reduction/enlargement ratio to reduce the data size, or send the document in
smaller segments.
003-795 The reduction/enlargement ratio exceeds the setting range when the scanned document is enlarged/reduced to the specified paper size. Directly enter the reduction/enlargement ratio, or change the paper size.

Defective IIt/IPS board. Is very expensive. Call you local Xerox service number and ask them for part number 160K99811 and how much it would cost to get it fixed.

My Xerox Document Centre 265ST just stopped working and a message: Copier is not available Printer Fault please call for assistance I cannot access tools or anything else.


turn it off completely unplug it. open up all doors and trays....turn it on with everything open if you still get the error you are going to have to call in a tech if it starts up . start closing things till you get to when that errror comes up then repost and ill look up an answer for you. i work for xerox
