Question about Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0

1 Answer

Photo sizing I am a new Mac user and spent some unavailable cash to get the Mac unit only to find I cannot adjust the size of photos on it. Is there a very basic, low cost early Adobe program such as I used to have on my Canon scanner that I can get for this simple purpose. I cannot afford the Photo shop   -  my pension will not stretch that far. Ron

How can recover the deleted pictures in picasa

When you delete photos or folders using Picasa, they are sent to the Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac). If you have not emptied this paper, follow these steps to recover your photos:

Windows:
Double-click the Recycle Bin on your desktop computer.
Click your right mouse button on the file you want to retrieve.
Select Restore.

Mac:
Click the trash icon.
Find an image or folder you want to recover and drag to the desired location.

Keep in mind that
Picasa is an application that acts as a photo organizer and editor. It does not store the image files, but simply accesses them when the user wishes to either view or edit the file
Hope this helps (remember to rating this answer, and leaving some testimonial comment.

Imported professional photos with high resolution/pixels. Are now grainy in the presentation. Looks like pixels are missing.

I've had a problem relating to the sizes of my photos. It appears that once you use photos of too high a resolution, and the project is of rather lengthy, SlideShow Expressions develops problems - I wasn't able to burn to disc and the soundtrack contained distortions when listening to it in preview mode. Let me put this into context. My first project contained 388 photos, with some photos larger than 2 MB, but mostly averaging 300 KB or so. No problem - it burned successfully. My second project had 305 photos, with just about all over 2 MB. No problem - burned successfully. However, when I tried to burn my third project, there was no end to my frustration. The problem lied with a combination of two factors: firstly, it was a very large project: 466 photos; secondly, the project included photos larger than 2 MB, quite a few of these were abou 3.5 MB. It was this combination of photo size and project length that caused my writer drive to fail whenever I tried to burn this project. It was solved by resizing the photos - everything under 500 KB. This doesn't necessarily mean that the quality of your photos will be compromised. I used Microsoft Office Picture Manager and visually there is no quality difference between the original photos and the photos in the slideshow project. Maybe this helps a bit. Experiment with photo size. (You can always add a data disc with the original photos (eg. jpg-format) to your project.)

how to free download adob photoshop 7.0

Photoshop

Selection of persons is one of the 'trickier' things you can do in Photoshop, but the newest version (PS CS3) makes it a cinch, with the new selection tools and tweaks. The best tool in Photoshop is now the 'Quick Selection' tool, and you can feather or expand / shrink your selections. Very handy indeed. After pasting your selection, you can select, 'Edit, Free Transform' and adjust the scale of the portrait to match the size in the merged photo.

Scale

You do not mention having any photo editing program now.
It depends upon which photo editing program you have, as how to do it.

If you download Adobe Reader 8 http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
You also get Adobe Photoshop 3.2 Starter Edition. Both are FREE.
In Adobe Photoshop select the photo you wish to print. Then on the menu bar select File then Print. Then select the Custom Size radio button. Adjust the scale to the size print you are wanting, in this case 2.0 x 2.0
Be sure to come back here for my rating on this solution.

Reduce Photo

You can use Photoshop to reduce Photo size to a minimum size that can be mailed and u can retain the resolution by it. Its afantastic application. Open your image in photoshop and right clik it on the top of the title bar choose image size and change the resoution to 150DPI or lessere but not less than 72 DPI.

R u can go to save as command in the file menu and save it for Web option is better to reduce the size of the image to very smaller one which can be mailed.

Thanks
