SOURCE: delete RECYCLER folder

Right click the recycle bin in 'my computer' or on the desktop and goto the properties. You may then configure the recycle bin for each drive or turn it off altogether. Once it is turned off for a particular drive you may remove the recycler folder (ignore the warning) it will not re-appear again when you delete files.

SOURCE: recycler folder

The recycler folder is a system file, it is created automatically as a place holder for files you send to the recycle bin. As far as I am aware, the only way to stop it being created is to turn of the recycle bin for each drive you have.......Doing this has the effect of permently deleting files though......

How to fransfer data from laptop to pendrive

First turn on your computer.

Once your computer and operating system are up and running, then plug the USB pen drive into an empty USB slot on your laptop.

You may have to wait a few moments while your computer detects this device and automatically installs the appropriate drivers for it, which should take no more than 30 seconds or so.

Now just click on the MY COMPUTER icon on your desktop or navigate there manually.

Look in the section titled DEVICES WITH REMOVABLE STORAGE.

You should see your USB removable flash drive listed somewhere in that section. Just double click on its icon to open it up.

Now that the USB pen drive folder is open, you can just COPY and PASTE, or DRAG and DROP any document or file from your computer into that USB pen drive folder the same way you would transfer files to any other folder on your computer.

To copy files, just RIGHT mouse click on the file you want to copy, then select COPY from the drop down menu.

Then just RIGHT mouse click anywhere in the USB pen drive folder and select the PASTE option from the drop down menu.

Once all your files are copied, just close the USB pen drive folder.

Then click on the SAFELY REMOVE HARDWARE icon in the lower right hand corner of your taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Select the USB removable pen drive option and then wait for it to say that it is now safe to remove the USB pen drive.

Then just remove your USB pen drive by pulling it straight out of the computer's USB slot.

I hope that was helpful.

Good luck and take care.

Joe.

I can't format my pen drive. it tells me it's protected

1. Copy all the important data from this drive to your computer because this method will format the drive and erase all the data on the pen drive.

2. Now download the Apacer Formatting Utility, Unzip this utility to a folder on your hard disk, preferably on a folder on desktop screen for easy access (Do Not Try To Save it on pen drive). Keep your pen drive plugged in, and double click on the Start.bat file in the folder where you unzipped the above utility. This will start formatting your pen drive, wait till the formatting completes and the LED on your pen drive stops blinking. Remove your pen drive after than and plug it in again.

3. You're Done!

The above step will solve the problem. If you still face the problem, follow the below steps:

1. Goto Start > Run, type cmd and press enter, this will open command prompt.
2. Type the following command on the command prompt replacing X with the drive letter of your pen drive.
CHKDSK X: /F

The Pen drive is detected in PC but no data is shown. Not able to open the files in the folders as it is shown that data used is 0 bytes and available is 0 bytes. Please solve

Hi there,

This is what you should do to sort out this problem:
Put the pen drive in to a different computer that the pen drive works on and copy all files and folders off of the pen drive on to the computer. Then you must right click on the pen drive in "My Computer" and click "Format", once the pen drive has been formatted, replace all of the files and folders on to the pen drive and it should now work.

Thank you for using FixYa! Have a nice day an please remember to rate this solution.

Unable to open Pendrive

Your pen drive is infected by a virus/worm. I have two solutions for this -   > If you have WinRAR software, just open up the pen drive using this and delete "autorun.inf" from it.  OR  > Use any good antivirus software and scan your pen drive, and disinfect the pen drive from any virus/worms. Remove your pen drive, and insert it again. It'll work fine.

PEn drive

You have damaged the file allocation table on the drive. You may be able to recover a little of the data. There are a couple of utilities you can use to attempt to recover data from the drive:

One is ZAR Recovery. It is a trial version that only allows you to recover a few folders at a time but give it a shot:

http://www.z-a-recovery.com/

The other is called PC Inspector:

http://www.pcinspector.de/Sites/file_recovery/info.htm?language=1

They may be able to get some of your data back, chances are you may be able to get the data back, but the file names will all be unknown, so perhaps you can figure out what file was what based on its contents when these program recover the data.
