I have an RP 2100 pool heater and the minimum temperature set point is 65 degrees. Every time the pool/spa temp falls below 65 degrees, the heater automatically turns on. How can I either disable this feature or lower the set point to 50-ish degrees? I believe that 65 is the lowest set point temperature that can be selected. I live in Atlanta, GA, where temperatures can get cold during the winter, but do not go below freezing for extended periods of time. We do not "close" or winterize our pool during the winter. Please help! Thank you!

I have a pool heater RP 2100 you set the temperature it calls for the spark -then there's usually a poof and the flame icon comes on, and the heater heats up. Now set temperature, Calls for heat -the spark...

make three attempts to get heater running. most electronic ignition heaters will lock out after 3-4 times. after it locks out error codes should present themselves.....such as ignition failure, prs, etc.
ensure proper gas and water pressure. check voltage supplied to your raypack's igniter aswell. if heater fires up then instantly shuts off, then it may be the flame sensor

I've got a Jandy PDA, PS4. How can I set the Freeze Protect below 34 degrees?

It doesn't set below the freezing point. That is exactly the point of the minimum setting of 34 degrees - just above the freeze point. If it would set below that temperature it would freeze.

Pool heater won't heat water

How big a pool? You normally will not notice a temperature rise immediately. On average, swimming pools will see a one degree rise in temperature every 45 - 90 minutes.

The part number for the thermistor for your heater is 005299B, officially called the temperature sensor IID it is also refered to a temp sensor or temp sensor kit.

Have a brand new Master Temp 400K Propane with an Intellitouch and the heater shuts off at 84 degrees. Do I need to set a max temperature from the heater control panel?

If this heater has pool mode and spa mode as an option, and you need the water higher than 84 degrees, you must set it to spa mode even if it is a pool. As a regulation, these heaters come pre-set to max out at 84 degrees as a safety feature. However, in spa mode it can reach 104degrees.

Rheem 206 propane heater will not fire has code #sns what is the problem? the water is 65 degree.

SNS means the temp sensor is out of acceptable range. Could be the following:

1. Water temp is below 36 degrees F
2. The sensor contains 2 thermistors, if they are more than 2 degrees apart and SNS failure will occur
3.Loose or corroded connection at P1 on the main board
4. If the sensor has come out of the JACO fitting on the header, it may read a SNS failure.

Solution, visually inspect the connections for corrosion. If it looks ok, then replace the temp sensor.

Minimax pool heater cuts out at 91 degrees when remotely set for

Turn the temp set knobs on the front of the heater all the way up do both pool & spa temp.
If that doesn't help flip the selector switch on the front of the heater the pool temp. This switch doesn't control what heats up Pool or spa it just selects the heater on and which thermistat to use
