Question about Fujitsu Heating & Cooling

Fujitsu Heat Pump - problems with timer? When starting the heat pump - the operation light, together with the timer light blinks twice, then the operation light blinks another five times. Then the sequence starts over again. The machine never comes on?

Turning the power to the unit off for 20 seconds - to several hours, and then turning the power back on, has no effect. The error condition still exists. Also, there is no reset button on my unit. Thanks.

I had the same problem. The heater did not work in heating mode. However it was OK in air-conditioning mode. The operation light and the timer light blink twice and then the operation light blinks for 5 times followed by few seconds non blinking, then the cycle repeats again. I have read on the internet that you better unplug the power cord and then plug it again so that the heater re-sets itself. My only problem was that my heater is directly plugged to the power with no visible plug. So I went to the main distribution board and put off the power for about 20 seconds for the whole home. HOORAY!! The heater worked after that.

I have a Fujitsu ASTA18LCC with 3x operation and 4x timer light code.

This is an "outdoor temperature thermistor open/short" error.
An easy and cheap fix but you will have to buy the part from Fujitsu.

My fujitsu heat pump asta12lcc not working. Operation and timer flash twice then operation flashes 3 times, cycle repeats self. What does this mean? Thankyou

Error code = Operation light x 5, Timer light x 2:
IPM protection
Abnormal current value of IPM is detected.
> Permanent stop.
[Diagnosis Point]
- Heat radiation is blocked (inlet/outlet). - check indoor and outdoor coils for blockage by dirt. If outdoor blocked, turn off power and gently hose down coils from top to bottom (that's the radiator like assembly). Don't spray upwards as you can force water onto circuit boards. Allow to dry and turn power back on to check.
- Check if outdoor fan is defective (does not rotate).
- Controller PCB defective (Refer to after mentioned "IPM diagnosis").
- Refrigeration cycle defective (Refer to after mentioned "refrigeration cycle diagnosis").

This normally ends up being a faulty controller board but there are quite a few tests that you will need to do to make sure that no other parts are causing the error. It's best to get a tech in for this one.

Timer light on fujitsu heat pump flashes not heating

the light flashing indicates there is a problem. you can try reseting the system by turning the power supply off and back on again 30 sec later, if the same thing happens you need to count the number of light flashers and that relates to a fault code

Heat pump won't start, red light flashing

I do warranty work for Fujitsu ACs. You need to be more specific with the "Flashing" How many flashes of both the timer, and operation light are there? These relate to problems/faults. Take note next time and post it back here.

I have a Fujitsu ASTA24LCC heat pump and it has stopped going, but is showing some form of fault code. Operation & Timer lights flash together twice then operation light flashes 5 times. What does...

Check your filters. Manual says they need to be cleaned every two weeks under normal operation (and in my case more often during renovations). It seems it may not take much to limit air flow enough for the indoor unit to trip out. Hope this helps.
