The belt on my dryer broke. How do I replace it

check the roller the drum runs in, typically they burn out their bearings and cause the belt issue

You'll have to trouble shoot it... the belt either jumped off the motor pully or it may have broke. Either way you'll have to disconnect it and inspect it. Remember to always unplug the unit when servicing it. If the belt broke it is not hard to replace. The drums are held by gravity on rollers. Simply lift enough to get new belt pass the roller. If there are upper rollers in the way... simply remove them. Don't remove lower rollers. Lift the drum enough to install the belt and replace the upper rollers, relocate the new belt and close it up. Done.

do you mean that if you hold in the start button it will run but when you let it go it stops,if so you have a bad belt pulley switch.it's a safety so if the belt breaks the dryer won't run,all it is is a cherry switch,a black switch with a white button sticking out of it,the belt pulley hits it and pushes the button in but the switch fails internally or the belt is broke,if the belt isn't broke replace the belt pulley switch.

Most likely the belt broke, replace the belt

Most dryers can be taken apart on the back. Take out the screws holding the rear plate on and you should see the motor and pulleys. It's always good to keep the back oof of the unit until you test it once. The belt could be getting broken or just slipping off due to overloading the unit. Over time, this can severly damage the rollers and put too much tension on the motor assembly. Hope this helps.

broken belt......simple fix.......remove lint filter from top 2 screws remove.........insert screwdriver between top & front push down to pop top......1 screw on each side holding front on at top remove them....front will then pick up off the 2 remaining clips at the front bottom.....spin door around to the side belt should be laying in the bottom of the dryer or around the tub but broken.......hope this helps......check back.......

To replace it won't be hard. Just make sure it is back on securely.

unplug dryer, then take the top off and check your connections to door switch.i believe this model has a broke belt switch.open the bottom with the machine unplugged and reach inside and see if the belt is broke.if it is then replace the belt.

The belt needs to be above the metal. Otherwise the repair looks good. Easy fix. Thanks for the pic.
