Question about Sharp Aquos LC-42D62U 42 in. LCD HDTV
This past Thursday our 4 month old 32" Sharp Aquos LCD TV stopped acknowledging the universal cable remote control to turn the TV on/off or to adjust the volume. It still acknowledged channel changes from the cable box, though. Thinking maybe it was the universal remote, I checked the remote specific to the TV. Even it would not work to turn on the TV or adjust the volume! The only way you could get it to work was to hit the manual power and volume buttons on top of the TV. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? We'd greatly appreciate any insight you can offer!
TV is under warranty. Get a tech to look at it. It could require a new IR sensor, a firmware upgrade or a system reset that only a tech can do called an Industry Initialization that is in the service mode only
