Backslash key

On most standard English keyboards the backslash key is located above the "Enter" or "Return" key. If your keyboard has been damaged, you can still copy and paste a backslash symbol that someone else has typed.

\ (backslash)
/ (forward slash)

Please ,how can i type a back slash symbol

if you can't find the backslash on your keyboard, you can always use the so called ASCII code. It sound complicate, but it is simple: press and hold the left ALT key and press one at a time the following digits form the NUMERICAL KEYBOARD: 0 9 2 . Now release the ALT key and the backslash appears.

There is a code like that for all characters and digits oin the keyboard

How do I activate the backslash key, situated together with ? and + on a danish type keyboard?

I beleive you have to hold down the Fn key (you'll notice some symbols have a different color, that color should be the same as the color of the Fn key)

On the Zippy keyboard and probably lots of others there are two methods of accessing different symbols on keys. other than the normal, caps lock and numlock options.

Holding either 'shift key' will type the upper symbols on key. holding 'alt Gr' key will type the 3rd symbol on a key if more than 2 on key. such as ` ¬ ¦

Keyboard problem

You are probably typing it on word with a font that does not support those symbols. Open notepad and type the characters - your system should be working fine. (you can alternately try to use Arial font as an alternate)

Cannot get backslash (\) character to display

To get a backslash, you need to print the upper ascii character 92 (decimal). On most machines you can get upper ascii characters by holding down the Alt key and typing the decimal value on the numeric keypad. On the little IBM machine I'm typing this on, there is no numeric keypad, but if I switch on numlock (by doing shift-scroll-lock) the j-k-l keys become 1-2-3 etc. Now id I hold down Alt and type 92 (i.e.keys 9-k), this is what I get: \ Howzzat?.
