Video card drivers

- I've been told by "Encore", makers of Hoyle Card Games, and also "Driver Detective", that my video card drivers are out of date. "Driver Detective" now wants to charge me $39.90 to download upgraded drivers. I am not computer savvy, and I have no idea what they're talking about. All I want to do is play my card games. I paid $9.99 for your company's assistance, and I've yet to receive an answer. If I pay the $39.90 to download upgraded drivers, will this solve the problem? Please Help!!

I don't know what kind of video card I have, but here's some info taken from my diagnostic page. Computer Name: DESKTOP;
MFG: LAN PLUS: MODEL: AWRDACPI: Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600). The following info. was taken from the back of the computer: Northgate LP41800642 STAP4DR17CC. Will this help??

- to: myob247: There were so many to choose from. It didn't give me any specifics from which to choose, or I couldn't find any specifics. However, I downloaded the UniVGA5 Graphic Driver (v5.12) 2008-05-28. There are others also listed: SiS191Gigabit Lan & SiS 190 Lan Driver (v2.069) 2008-05-21 and SiS UniVGA3 Graphic Driver (v3.84) 2008-04-09. Should I download "all" of them? Or go back and look for a specific one?

Thank you so very much for all your help and especially your patience. I appreciate everything you've walked me thru.
After downloading the UniVGA5 Graphic Driver, I immediately went into playing my games (spades), and in the middle of it, the game shut off, as before. I have downloaded the Lan Driver as you suggested, now I'll "RESTART" my computer to see if that's better. If not, I'll let you know.
