Question about Microwave Ovens
1200W Panasonic Inverter model, 5 yo, heavy use, works fine, but has started making a 2-3 second buzzing sound during first 10 seconds of operation. Is it safe, and will it need replaced soon? Thanks!
It could be a bad magnetron, or it may be mild arcing due to food particles or grease on or behind the waveguide cover.
No microwave should ever be left unattended while running.
