I just got my monitor 8 days ago and it works when... (by 3 users)

for some reason it decides to shut it self off in the middle of me using it. i checked to make sure its pluged d in right and that none of the cables are lose or something. and their all in snug and secure. i tried turning it offand on and it shows me my desk top for a split second and then shuts off again. i know there power going in because the light goes from green to yellow.
