Message pops up when I start my computer "the specified module could not be found

a dll file is missing or cannot be found or is corrupt. either way, it cannot be pulled from and opened up. a dll is actually a lot like a executable program and operates the same way, so go to google, type backgroundcontainer.dll download. go to the website that allows you to download dlls. then go to my computer, type in the address bar: %appdata% go to folder localcounduit, then go to folder backgroundcontainer, and copy/paste the downloaded .dll file.

Iertutil.dll

It might have been caused due to some problem in internet explorer 7(IE7)

Try to uninstall IE7. You can use the following method if it does not show up in add/remove programs.
Reference: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927177
NOTE:

IF SP3 was installed AFTER IE7, you MUST uninstall SP3 first, uninnstall IE7, then re-install SP3. If SP3 is NOT installed, simply follow the procedure as shown.

Step 1:

Make hidden files and hidden folders visible
Click Start, and then click My Documents.
On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
In the Advanced settings list, under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
Step 2:

Uninstall Internet Explorer 7
To uninstall Internet Explorer 7, follow these steps:
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe, and then click OK.
Follow the wizard instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 7.

I have down loaded ie7 but cannot load it.

Your Windows installation is most likely corrupt, meaning you have bad files for Windows. Most likely caused by a virus that is still preventing you from installing an antivirus program. If you have a recovery cd, now is a good time to boot from it, just copy your important files to a thumb drive or other media before doing so in case it wipes them out. Another options is running the System File Checker utility to replace/repair Windows System Files. To do so (you will need a Windows CD), Click Start button -> Run -> type "cmd" and click OK button. In the black window, type "sfc /scannow". It may prompt you for the Windows CD. This will check all of your core Windows files and replace any missing or bad ones.

IE7 flashes briefly when I click on it and then goes away

Hi,

This usually happens after installation. 1. Click START–>RUN and type cmd
2. At the prompt, type cd and press ENTER
3. Type cd Program Files and press ENTER
4. Type cd Internet Explorer and press ENTER

5. Type regsvr32 IEPROXY.DLL
6. You should get a confirmation that the IEPROXY.DLL has been registered. You can then close all windows and try Internet Explorer again.
If these steps don’t solve the problem, try

Launching IE with add-ons disabled:
1. Click START–>RUN
2. Type iexplore -extoff
You can also create a shortcut so that you can always run Internet Explorer this way.
1. Right-click on the Desktop
2. New–>Shortcut
3. Enter in iexplore -extoff

Hope this helps

Dlls for kernel

Error Message:
Load needed DLLs for Kernel Translation:
Important Windows XP program files are missing or damaged.
Solution:
This error is confusing for several reasons. First, many users may not understand that the kernel is the main program file in WinXP, the heart of the operating system. Second, the term “load needed DLLs” is just ambiguous enough that you might not know how serious the error really is. Unfortunately, this problem cannot be corrected by just rebuilding the system Registry or restoring files from the WinXP installation CD. You’ll need to perform an “in-place install” of the operating system, which will destroy most of your settings such as Internet Favorites and all of your applications. The good news: An in-place install will usually not overwrite files in your My Documents folder and will keep other files located in other directories (as long as they are not operating-system-related). To perform an in-place upgrade, you’ll need to boot from the WinXP CD, which might require that you enter the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) of your computer and enable the Boot From CD option. Then, when the install starts up, select the Install WinXP option and follow the remaining instructions.
