Hey, I need to buy a new fan motor and will share the install info once I install it myself. My question is: Where can I buy a fan motor for this unit?????

Ok, I found a new motor assembly for this unit. About $27 plus shipping plus tax. To install remove the back panel, for convenience you may also want to remove the top/side panels as well. Remove the fan from the spindle, which will expose two long bolts holding the motor assembly to the frame. Once those two are removed the motor assembly falls off. Make sure you don't tear the wires off. Depending on the unit you may have to cut the wires from the old motor and solder in the new one, unless there is a connector you can just unplug.

Error code 67

Error code 67 is an airflow problem. Either clogged filter or bad blower motor. Unplug unit remove bucket and feel for filter in front behind cover it drops down. Clean filter with water and reinsert. Plug unit in turn to "on", fan should begin to run, after 3-5 minutes compressor should start. If fan does not start it is bad and should be replaced.

The fan in the dehumidifier makes an awful lot of noise.

It may not be the fan, as much as it the compressor vibrating. This occurs if the unit is not sitting on level flooring or on a carpet. Why I carpet? I do not know, but my LG unit does the same thing. I have found that smacking the sides of the cabinet simultaneously with my open hands, stops the vibration and the noise.

if however, it is the fan making the noise, it too can be affected by an UN-level surface. In addition, the fan shaft made need lubricating. WD40 works well for this or light machine oil (like sewing machine oil) will work too.

Hope this helps you & thanks for choosing FixYa.

MY DEHUMIDIFIER COMPRESSOR SOUNDS LIKE IT IS RUNNIN BUT, THE FAN WHEN ENERGISED IS TIGHT & WILL NOT RUN. WHEN NOT ENERGISED THE FAN SPINS FREELY. SHOULD i REPLACE THE FAN MOTOR???

Definitely sounds like the thing to do. However, before you do that, try lubricating the fan motor shaft with some light oil (like sewing machine oil). That may free it up.

I have an LG dehumidifier, model # LHD65EBL. I had the fan motor go out on it a while back. Everywhere I looked, a new motor was at least $55, and some places wanted $95 for it! The LG site has it for...

Thanks, cutter1. That's good information. And certainly, the price is right on the fan motor. For those who are mechanically inclined, and can do it themselves, it's really a bargain.

It is heating up the place and its very loud.

Hi,

With the unit unplugged, open the cover and check the alignment of the fan. If the fan is stuck or rubbing against the fan cowling, adjust the fan motor's mounting hardware so that the fan turns freely.

Good luck.

The fan inside is having a hard time rotating...starting to smell. what gives?

If the fan motor is quite hot to the touch when it is running and the smell is like something burning and the fan blade isn't rubbing on the housing then the fan motor bearing are most likely worn out. If that is the case then the fan motor is bad and needs to be replaced.
