My Mitsubishi WT 46807 will not power up. The green light on the front stays on for approximately 2 seconds and then goes out with no audio or visual. I tried unplugging the set for about 15 minutes but this did not help. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks.

Either you get an error code (see solution) or green light blinks constantly after set unplugged and plugged back in----has to be one of the two things.

Yes!

When you turn set on and power light goes out do the self check this set has.

On front of set when light goes out press and hold both the Menu and Input (device) buttons at the same time and hold both for at least five seconds and then release both.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks,2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means. Make a comment here and I will assist you.

hi,
Error code 2-2 indicates "Short Protect Circuit" problem in tv.
Need to check pico fuses in power supply as one or two got blown due to bad convergence chips.
Below is an exploded view of tv chassis, power supply and convergence area has been marked to give you better idea to look for pico fuses.
Unplug tv from wall socket before to repair/check any thing inside tv.
Hope these info will help you.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

When I turn on the TV power button it stays on for two seconds and then goes off. The TV never comes on.

When you try to turn it on and the green light goes off:

On the front of the set press and hold BOTH the Menu and Input buttons for at least 5 seconds and release both buttons.

The power light should blink a two digit error code; the most common is 2, a pause and 2 blinks; it will repeat the error code at least 5 times.

If it is 2,2 I can tell you exactly what is wrong and have instructions on how to repair it yourself.

This site is supposed to email me if a client responds to my answer but there have been problems lately with this.

If this happens:
If you want the instructions (they tell you everything you will need and exactly how to do it) let me know here by using the "add a comment" button.

There has been some trouble on this site lately where I do not see the comment; if this happens email :"[email protected]" and tell them you want them to contact me for the instructions.

The other option is you can also email "[email protected]" who is the community manager here.

If the site does not notify me of your response I cannot get the FREE instructions to you.

Last night the set just turned off by itself. When I try to power on, the power light comes on for a second and then it shuts itself off again.

I am having this exact problem. The TV turned off by itself and now when I try to turn it on, the power light stays on for a sec and goes of with a click sound.

Any TV experts who can HELP?

Power trouble

You need a multimeter to diagnos the issue. I have one with the same problem that i had gotten for free. I found that two of the fuses that are soldered to the middle board are bad... i have not tried replacing them yet but i will repost.
