I have a Bernina 2000DE serger In the front feed dog is moving opposite of the back feed dog. I'm experienced at sewing machine and serger basic maintenance, but I am stumped. Any advice?

Sounds like the small plastic cog/gears have slipped, this rarely happens and usually is from pulling heavier fabric through the machine while trying to sew. The teeth on the feed dog grips to a portion of the fabric and is tugged out of the track of the path of the rotation...
Not necessarily an out of timing issue if they are rotating independently, but likely will take a tech to disassemble it and replace the part(s). They likely will need to be replace rather than just placing them back into place.

Hope the response is helpful..

I own a Bernina 2000DE Serger which I purchased new many years ago. I've never had ANY trouble with it, and am quite experienced with sergers. However, when doing quite a bit of sewing on fleece the last...

Has it been serviced at all during your ownership of the serger?

The loopers can be knocked a little out of timing resulting in the skipped stiches on the heavy weight fleece occassionally. It sounds like you have tried all the usual fixes and know what you are doing.

Only other thing that might cause skipped stitches could be using a sharp needle rather than a ball point on the fleece. Otherwise maybe time for a trip to the shop??

Purchased a new Bernina 830 and need an easy way to thread bobbin

load your bobbin in, pull thread all the way to the cutter but don't cut it, see that curved bar in front, glide the thread along that curved bar until you feel a slight click, it should be there, when the 830's first came out they didn't include a mirror, if you never received one, ask your dealer.

Threading a bernina serger

Here is a little jingle to remember as far as the order of threads to thread...
Upper looper, lower looper, left needle, right.
Usuall if you give numbers to the threads from left to right as 1,2,3,4 , you would thread it in the order of 3, 4, 2, 1 . Also when threading the loopers be sure the lower looper thread goes over the top of the upper looper thread as it goes out the back.
Hope this helps.
