JVC CD Player XL-FZ2588BK

I recently purchased a 5 disc CD automatic changer (JVC model
#XL-FZ258BK). I am wondering if I should return it to the retailer
because at selected times a CD will skip and then I rewind it back and
it doesn't do it again. This is happening in the Disc 1 and Disc 2
(just today) slots. Could it be the CDs? Two CDs were new that jumped.
Also, could this model have a problem playing CD-Rs? Any help will be
appreciated.

Do you mean that it 'skips' during play, or do you mean that it has a
problem playing in the 'random' mode?

I would bring it back to the dealer and tell them that the machine is
skipping. You can verify this accurately by trying the same CD disks in
another player. If it is just your player that is skipping on them,
then your player has a fault condition.
