The problem is that this laptop, like most laptops, does not have a graphics chip capable of handling new 3D games. Sorry but there's nothing you can do about that except try running the games in the lowest graphics settings possible.

I now believe that my problem could be that my 14 year old golf game requires a Vesa driver which is not on my HP pavilion zd8000 laptop with XP. Although vesa is supplied on the CD golf game I cannot get...

You could try running the game trough DosBox, which is a good way to get older games to run, or VDMSound, which lets you run them in a windows dos shell.
Hope that helps.

Hi martin,

I see that you are having issues with your Game.

MOH airborne requires atleast 128 of video card graphics to make it run, you mentioned you have only 32bit I do not think your game will reall work possible if you can upgrade that should be work.

Have a nice day.

Not sure if it is a problem, yet. I have been given a CSI Miami PC game. My lap top that I would like to install it into is Windows Vista, will it work on this system? Thanks! K

If you have the case it usually tells you what systems you can use it with. If its a newer game then chances are it will install as long its not 64 bit

Game manual packaging of medal of honor limited edition needs a registrarion code which i dont have

they are often put on the back of the game manuals that are provided with the games. if you contact customer support from the game manufacturer they may be able to give you a new one, but don't try to get one off fo the internet because in most cases multiple uses of activation codes will lead to the game not working.

I have a HP Pavilion Lap top dv6000 AMD

You PC has crashed, you need to run a recovery (which will lead to format the partition and reinstall the O/s, that means all your data will be lost).

Restart the notebook and start tapping F11 key,you will come to Recovery Manager, click on Advance Options, and select System Recovery and click on next, select No without backingup the files (as this option most of the times fails). Click on next and wait for 30-40 mins for the reinstallation to get completed.

My vostro 200 on call of duty 4 runs slow !! I

try lowering the screen resolution in the game settings also ste the grphics quality to low then see if the game is running fast if it runs fine then increase the graphics options one by one like resolution , bilinear or anisotropic filtering , antialiasing etc
and i would also like to tell you one thing that if the graphics card was inbuilt in your laptop then don't expect it to play heavy games like this you will have to install a separate graphics card to play good quality games

Vista

Hi
If the soundcard you have doesn't fit the specifications required for the game then there's not much that you can do. With a bit of luck you might be able to play the game, just without sound.

The specifications required are "Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card (Note: For Creative
Sound Blaster Audigy cards running under Windows Vista you should expect
lower performance)"

You may be able to upgrade your soudcard if it is a desktop computer, otherwise you may want to try running the game on a friends computer.

Hopefully this information might help you out a bit.
