Can't find hard drive on computer anymore. Blue light constantly blinks on Lacie

Could be defective. Try swapping power cord and usb cable with know good ones. You could also plug it into a different (known working) usb port.

Hard drive is no good. If new replace under warranty. Given the bad luck you have had with this brand, you might consider replacing it with a different unit.

If the failed hard disk drive is replaced with the exact same capacity, RPM and make of hard drive, then the array can be rebuilt. Raid 0 cannot be rebuilt as each drive contains half of the data, If RAID 1 then can be rebuilt as data on each drive is an exact copy. However if combination of RAID 0 and RAID 1 then can be rebuilt. It's best really to handel this hands on, I recommend taking it to a computer technician especially if the information on it is important.

Did you try LaCie is the premier manufacturer of high quality digital storage.

It seems that you have a problem with the disk-drive inside the case. If it still is under warranty, exercise the warranty to get it replaced.
If not, then disassemble the case, and remove the disk-drive.
Connect it as a "slave" disk-drive inside a desktop computer,
to see if it can be read. If not, then it is "dead".
You could buy an identical disk-drive, and put it inside the case,
to construct a "new" external disk-drive.

I have seen the power adapters go out on the Lacie external drives and that causes the light to flash. You can check the voltages coming out of the adapter with a multimeter if you have one available. The voltages should be 5 and 12 volts. If you don't get that then the adapter is bad, you can contact Lacie about a replacement adapter or get a generic case and swap your drive to it. Contact Lacie support for a new power supply. I had the same problem, contacted Lacie support, they sent me a new power supply with power cord and all is well now.
