When i turn on the tv, the PHILIPS image is on Bright then the image is dark, you can barely tell that its on

i bought the part from shopijimmy.com and changed it, but nothing happened , the exact same thing,When i turn on the tv, the PHILIPS image is on Bright then the image is dark, you can barely distinguish whats on the screen. .. any ideas

This problems is the causes of the T-CON decoders board is dying.This T-CON decoders board sit at the bottom right in the middle of the LCD screen panel.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-CON decoders board for the replacement.

Nothing hapenned, same problem , the image is dark .. .the philips logo comes on bright when i turn it on then the immage is dark .. when i turn it on , blue screen appears then it turns of . .do you have any idea what might be wrong, ruling out the t-con board

If half screen is affected it will be either a board (LCD and Plasma have different names) but in those one board drives each side of the screen unit--worst case is the display panel itself which is fatal from a cost point of view.

Replace the TMS94481CT transformer on the inverter board. Can't miss it it is bright yellow. Part is available on EBay.

My lightning got really dark and i can barely see anything,i have to put the frame really up close to see a little bit.im not sure why it got like that.need help

LCD screens have a backlight. When the backlight starts to dim it will eventually completely fail, causing the image to be really dark, barely viewable. You will need to replace the LCD screen, or replace the entire unit.

Sounds like you may have the wrong lamp. Make sure you purchased a Philips lamp that's 100% compatible with your television model. Philips pioneered that lamp, so naturally they make 100 different types for DLPs and LCD projections.

You may have an elliptical lamp instead of parabolic. The lamp for your TV should read P22h.

Screen will not stay bright

That's the battery saver feature of that Philips portable. If you use an A/C power adapter, the light will stay bright.

Cant change the bright of the sony trinitron (FROM THE REMOTE )

this is a problem with the sony tv set not your remote.
you can have a tech turn up the HV seting on the botem of your fly back and at same time have him do a diagnostics on the tv set.

If the backlight lights up for a second it's probably fine - It lay odds on the display inverter in the screen. Actually finding parts for anything made by gateway may be difficult, however. They do not sell spare parts. Considering the size of the LCD i bet it would almost exceed the replacement cost of the screen to repair it
