You might have downloaded the wrong version.
Try downloading another copy of easy share software. Just click this link http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/software/easyshare/en/dln_ekn026079.jhtml?pq-path=5224/4509
Be sure to select from the pull down menu the type of operating system you are using. Also before installing the software be sure you are loged in as administrator

I have no short cut icon to use all my Kodak easyshare pictures stored on my hard drive

Open windows explorer
Open Program files

Look for Kodak Easy Share

open the Kordak Easy Share Folder

find KodakEasyShare.exe , or EasyShare.exe or something simular to that.

and drag it to your desktop and select ( create short cut )

That will restore your shortcut ..

Thank you for using FixYa!

Over 700 pictures that were in my Kodak Easy Share program just disappeared one day. If I did something to make that happen, I can't imagine what it was. Mary Robinson

Your pictures may still be there. Maybe the Kodak easy share software just doesn't know how to find them. Try following these instructions to see if your pictures are safe.
  1. Double-click on My Computer
  2. Double-click on Local Disk (C:)
  3. Double-click on Documents and Settings
  4. Find your windows account name. This is the same name that should appear when you click on the start menu, and look for a name at the very top. Now double click on your account name.
  5. Double-click on My Documents
  6. Double-click on My Pictures
  7. You should see a folder in here called Kodak Pictures. Open it up, and drill down until you see some pictures. If you still see them, then it's as simple as remapping the Kodak Software to find them. If not, they could have been deleted or moved to another location.
Comment back on your progress, and i'll see if I can help you more.
