Question about Refrigerators
One of fours things can be wrong,first make sure it's on,second remove the supply tube in the freezer and look to see if it is frozen, thaw with hair dryer,third the water inlet valve has failed,fourth the icemaker itself is bad,put your hand in the ice maker well to see if you feel water if you do the water inlet valve is working and the icemaker itself has failed if you don't feel any water the water inlet valve has failed,let me know,thanks-mike

SOURCE: Ice maker in KitchenAid Model
This often occurs after pulling the unit for cleaning. You may either have shut the water valve off or pinched the water hose when pushing back in place. In both cases you won't have water in the unit, therefore the ice maker will not be operating.
