Hello dloftus,

You can get the unit repaired by Garmin. For information on how to get service and how much it would cost to their website at:

Not touch sensative

In 90% of the cases it's the digitizer (the touch sensor that is mounted in front of the screen). You can try to replace it yourself or send it to a third party gps repair service.

Cracked glass

It will have to be returned to Garmin. They have a very good program to repair or replace your GPS for a flat fee. It seems to be a very good way to have your GPS fixed. Save your waypoints before you send it to them.

Cracked screen

The only way to repair it is to send it to Garmin for service. They recently told me the flat rate to repair my streetpilot 550c was $250. (!)

New GARMIN 660 Won't get past the Intro screen

Problem solved: I got through to Tech Support. They suggested a 'hard reset', which solved the problem: Put you finger on the lower right screen while you power up and it will do a hard reset---and it will get past the "loading maps" screen, where it had been stuck.
