Mitsubishi cp9800dw problems

I have recently purchased a Cp9800dw. I am printing from iphoto on a ibook g4 using OS 10.3 .9. I am having 2 seperate problems.

1 • the printer will only print one photo at a time. if i put through more than one image, it begins processing the job then part of the way through it cancels

2• the colors are are appearing very brownish/yellow in comparison to their appearance on screen. On my old printer there was an option in the print menu to adjust the colors but i can't seem to find the same or similar function on this printer.

Thank you for your time and assistance and i look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Ann Burke

SOURCE: Print spooler problem cannot delete printer jobs

Hi there
You can try see if this may do it.

Go to Start / Run and type in "services.msc" without quotation marks, then press Enter or click OK.

In the window that opens (Services) look for "Print Spooler" on the right

Right-click "Print Spooler" and select "Properties".

Click on the "Recovery" tab and change all 3 drop-down boxes to "Restart The Service".

Make sure the 2 text boxes underneath say "1" in them.

Click Ok until you are back at the Services window, close it and you're good to go.

Go back into the properties of the "Print Spooler" tab and be sure to click Start to restart the Print Spooler service and it will restart the service immediately.

The Print spooler depends on the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service. Is this service disabled? Go to services.msc look for RPC. Check state: Automatic

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

I have a mac ibook G4. I cant figure out how to set up the wifi printing aspect. Where do I find my SSID?

The MX700, although network capable with ethernet, is not wireless capable. If you're going to only use the printer with the ibook, there is little point in setting up an ethernet network. Just run a USB cable from the ibook to the MX700.

Get the gray OS discs specific for the PowerBook. Your iBook gray discs won't work. You can also install the OS by getting a black label retail version disc of whatever cat you like- Panther or Tiger. If the software installs, but you hear noises or get the spinning beach ball of death, then the hard drive is fu.k.d up. You then have to open up the computer and install a new hard drive and re-install the OS. Good luck old chap. Cheers.

Getting a borderless print

Try this if that helps:

Using iPhoto to create borderless prints To use iPhoto to create borderless prints, please follow all of the steps below:
  1. While logged in as an Administrator, install the latest Canon printer drivers onto your computer (with Mac OS X v10.2 or later as the operating system) and select the appropriate printer as the default.

  2. Launch iPhoto.

  3. From iPhoto, select and open the image you wish to print. (Please refer to the Apple web site for instructions on how to use iPhoto.)

  4. When you are ready to make a print, select from the Menu Bar 'File: Page Setup'.

  5. The Page Setup dialog will appear.

  6. Select the following settings:

    1. Settings: Page Attribute
    2. Format for: <Select the Canon printer you wish to use>
    3. Paper Size: 4x6 (borderless)
    4. Orientation: <Select the matching orientation>
    5. Scale: <Select the appropriate scale>

  7. Select 'OK' and the Page Setup dialog will close.

  8. From iPhoto, from within the Constrain section of the browser window, select from the pull-down menu (i.e., the button directly above the Constrain label) either '4x6' or '4x6 Portrait'. Then, using your mouse cursor, mouse-over the image and when the Cross-Hairs are over the upper left-hand corner of the portion of the image you wish to print, click and drag from the left to the right in a downwardly diagonal motion, releasing the click at the end of the image selection.

  9. Click the 'Crop' button.

  10. From the Menu Bar, select 'File: Print', select your options, then select 'Print'.

  11. This selection, revealed in the iPhoto window will now print as a borderless, 4x6 print.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance,
please post back with a comment to this thread.

Goes to stopped job before printing

Sounds like the infamous cups bug. The postscript to raster module was defective and caused the effect you notices. If this is so you do not have the latest updates for cups.
I had the same problem with an Epson C87. The latest updates have fixed this problem.
Hope this fixes the problem.

I do not know which driver you are using since three different Ones are listed  8,9, and OS-X. I f you are not using OS X  or at least 9, I would consider trying them , if I were you, since you are currently using 10. The driver page states that if you OS in not listed. then they do not recoment this printer,in so many words.

This is a very late response to your query, but you did have it in the C46 section. It sounds like you have blocked heads but there could be other reasons such as a faulty print head or main board. If you still require help with this problem, please post a new comment to this effect.

HP Laser Jet 4 Plus to iBook G4 serial to usb

serial to usb is not plug and play so i don't believe this configuration will ever work.
parrallel to usb is plug and play 90% of the time.
purchasing and installing a port replicator is a 100% fix as long as the formatter on the printer is working properly. good luck!

Printer: Canon PIXMA MP610 Operating system: Mac OS 10.4 Problem: Printing 4x6 photos is excruciatingly slow from iPhoto and Photoshop CS3. I thought it may have been something to do wireless printing,...

When printing from programs like that, usually the "BEST" option is selected for the print quality.. Try going into the preferences and choosing a lower quality.

If that doesn't help, for Photoshop, you can "save for web and devices", choose PNG and then save to desktop, and use another program to print the file. Or when in the print dialogue, make sure "printer manages colour management"

Not too sure about Iphoto print settings, but there may be something in there.
