Question about GPS
Many manufacturers require activation codes to be entered when installing new maps onto your GPS receiver. This is analagous to enterting a product key when activating a piece of software and is intended to prevent piracy of the maps.
The activation codes are typically printed on the sleeve of the CD containing the maps. You will need to locate the code and enter it.
If you do not have the code you may be able to contact the manufacturer of the GPS and obtain a new code, provided you can show proof of purchase for the maps in question.
