Make sure the lock is not engaged first.

I would go ahead and do the firmware upgrade for your exact model #:

If the PC won't recognize the device,

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard

Your player is a rebadged Perception Digital PD-6050. The user manual and firmware are here http://www.perceptiondigital.com/?en-download.html When I had problems, I re-flashed the firmware and it fixed it.

Still Stuck on please wait...

The error message means that an update failed - did you try the AutoUpdater software from RCA's website:

Go to the RCA Opal website and download the newest firmware. That may clear it up.

I need help with the memory card

See if you can borrow another card and try it - sometimes these cards can fail, also check the contacts on the card and the machine in case they are dirty - clean with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. If that doesn't help Try this link - they have udated drivers for your player, which may solve the problem; http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/en-US/Downloads.html?ProductID=RD1070 Hope it helps if not please post again :)
