Make sure the lock is not engaged first.

I would go ahead and do the firmware upgrade for your exact model #:

If the PC won't recognize the device,

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard

Ok there might be an issue with your firmware. Push the reset button and hold it for about 10 seconds. Make sure it is turned off. Then turn it back on and wait for a good 5 or 10 minutes, if the little android douche is still there then its stuck on a loop. I reccommend you install a custom rom that I found for mine:

http://dev-host.org/b1ufq9iixe9k/clp281_firmware2.2_HACK12_R4.zip
1) Download this, then unzip it and copy the wmt_controlscript and firmwareinstall (this one is a folder) on an SD Card which is empty.
2) Stick the SD card in
3) Wait for it to "upgrade" (it will take a while but you will be seeing the progress).
4) Remove the SD card reboot and you should be up and running!
Note: You need an actual SD card a USB stick wont work from what I have been told!

Your HARD DRIVE (aka: Hard Disk), located on the left side of the unit, has crashed. You will need to replace the HD.

When you replace your hard drive, you will need to have the latest firmware on a

usb stick. Download the firmware from the playstation official website onto a usb

stick. Once prompted by your system you will need to insert the usb stick into the

PS3. Good luck..

You will need 2.5" Sata Hard Drive.

2. Release the Stop/Reset button and wait until the printer fully initialize.

After that try printing again.

hi there,
use at your own risk.
Follow every step carefully!
First format an USB stick with FAT.
Download the latest BIOS, and put both FLASHIT.EXE and the BIOS file in the root directory of the stick. Rename the BIOS file to ZG5IA32.FD, that’s important. Do not remove the USB stick.
Turn the AA1 off, make sure both battery and AC adapter are connected. Press Fn+Esc, keep it pressed and press the power button to turn the AA1 on. Release Fn+Esc after a few seconds, the power button will be blinking. Press the power button once. The AA1 will now initiate the BIOS flash, do not interrupt it under any circumstances. After a while the power button will stop blinking, and the AA1 will reboot shortly after. Wait patiently.
The BIOS has been flashed and all settings reset to default.
If for some reason you made a mistake during the procedure and it doesn’t reboot by itself wait 5 minutes before turning it off, just to be safe that it isn’t still flashing the BIOS.
