Question about LG LD65EL Dehumidifier
I had my dehumidifier for two years now and I was happy with it, and how fast it collected moisture. I use it for my basement, and when I took it out this summer and plugged it, it just wouldn't start. I unplugged it and left alone, but then tried again in couple of days, and I was able to turn it on, the display buttons were lit up, and it looked like it started working. When I went to check up on it in an hour, I noticed that it was making strange buzzing sound and the bucket is completely dry. The unit stopped collecting water. Is it someting that can be fixed or should I be looking for a new unit?
Try cleaning the coil and filter. They may have collected alot of dust and this could have caused the issue. If it is still doing it after you clean it the issue may be thecompressor. If the compressor is bad it may be cheaper to pick up a new unit. I recommend picking up one that has an energy star rating. They are usually made of higher quality materials and will save you some money on your electric bills. If you found this solution helpful please rate it.
