You may have to remove and clean out your drain filter located inside the cabinet between the bottome of the drum and the pump motor. Make sure you hand bail the water out of your drum prior to removing the drain filter. Your model may have a shut-off valve between the drain filter and the tub, if so turn it to the OFF position to stop the water flow. If you do have this shut-off valve you will not have to hand bail the water out of your tub. After you remove, clean and reinstall the drain filter, be sure to turn the valve back to the ON position.

My HE2 front loader has a problem draining. It will be "locked" after washing. It is either full of water still, or needs to go through an extra "rinse and spin" cycle to drain the...

Hi

This issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely, if the issue returns then it is time for a new pump. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

My Kenmore high efficiency 3.5 cu. ft. front loader washer is acting funny. I start the normal cycle. It fills up with water. Washes., rinses, drains, then fills up slowly, to a point and then I get the...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,

My Samsung WF218ANW/XAA front load washer will not drain & the display reads "nd". I have already drained the water through the front panel tube & have cleaned that filter, washer still...

lefever352, I am currently trying to solve this same issue on the identical model. I removed , cleaned, and re-assembled all the water tubes and the entire pump assembly. The pump works but for some reason it is not priming into the drain tube. The pump assembly appears to have a diaphram over the outlet opening and it it looks like this might be the problem. I am still hunting the solution, BUT so far the above actions have to resolve our issue. I hope perhaps Fixya can help.

"OE" message

OE is actually DE - Drain Error. Pop open the little door on the bottom left of your washer, and unscrew the cap on the little tube on the left. ***Water will drain out!***
Once the water is out, unscrew the bigger tube on the right. This holds your drain filter. It is likely clogged, so clean it out and reinstall the filter and cap from the small hose.
Hopefully this fixes it!

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

Washer won't finish cycle .

The error FH will stem from the drain pump operation and sometimes from the flow meter itself. The first thing to check is to drop the bottom panel and make sure the drain filter is clean. It sits right in front and just unscrews. Make sure to have enough towels on hand to soak up the water that is left in the tub. After you have checked this make sure both water valves are turned on, clear the error by pressing pause/cancel twice. Check to make sure the drain hose is not kinked and that there is no siphon problem.(Check your pump too now that you've opened up) If the error still returns after checking the above, the next thing to suspect is the flow meter itself. This sits right in line with the water inlet valves. It's just a reed valve that measures the amount of water entering the washer and monitors the pressure switch. You can access it by removing the top and it will be on the left side in line with the inlet valve. Look for holes in this tube, change if any.
