When you changed the toner did you clean the printer? There should have been instructions that detail cleaning the charging wire and charging grid.

If you already threw those out please let me know and I can assist you with the cleaning. If the cleaning does not help than it could be a drum issue and I would recommend calling your servicing dealership.

HP m410n laserjet pro banding gray vertical lines

the two places to look is transfer roller and the fuser unnit.
i think there is a problem with the transfer roller it is under the toner and it needs to be spring loaded. The paper passes between the toner an the transfer roller to charge the paper en let the toner stick to the paper and if it doesn't make correct contact then it wont work

XC820. All copies have a 3/8" wide dark band

There are a few different issues that it could be, the feed rollers could be dirty, as well as the belts into the fuser. Be really careful when opening copiers. Toner is really small particles of plastic that melt with low heat. Use a Hepa filter vacuum cleaner so you don't create a large mess. I suggest rubber gloves, q-tips and put down drop cloths or newspapers to protect the area around the copier. be really careful, most of the belts are mylar and are easy to break. Remember that toner is heat sensitive, brushing can cause it to melt. just try vacuuming first. if you get any on your hands, use cold water and mild soap.

I changed the black toner cartidge for the first time and immediately got a multicolored stripe all the way across from top to bottom on the middle of the right side of the page. I replaced the toner

Vertical streaks or bands appear on the page.

One or more print cartridges might be low or defective. If you are using non-HP print cartridges, no messages appear on the device control panel or in the HP Toolbox. Replace any low print cartridges
Marks repeatedly appear at even intervals on the unprinted side of the page.

Internal parts might have toner on them. The problem typically corrects itself after a few more pages. The paper path might need cleaning. Clean the device. The fuser might be damaged or dirty. Clean using instructions in HP Toolbox.

Why are documents printing with a black stripe on right side?

You most likely have a defective cartridge. It is also possible that your Charge and/or Transfer rollers have become defective.

Inspect the cartridge for any band of remaining toner.

You should notice one or two long thin rollers, with the cartridge removed. There will be a dark roller that should appear textured, but not dull. And they may also be a lighter colored roller with no marks.

These are the three common problems that create lines.

Lastly
If the band is mostly straight, it is most likely the cartridge

If the band is wavy or broken in anyway, it is probably the roller(s)

HP Laserjet 5P shading edges of page

This is probably due to a defective cartridge, Charge Roller or Transfer roller.

Check the cartridge for a band of toner still on the drum.

Check the Charge roller for oil or smudges, this roller should be a lighter color and should be relatively free of toner or marks.

Same as the Transfer Roll, which will be dark, though excess toner should be evident.

A relatively smooth straight line is generally the cartridge.

A rather wavey or broken line is most likely the rollers.

You can however attempt to print a large amount of pages (25-50) in an attempt to clean the parts, however if either part is defective they will need to be replaced and no manner of printing will clean them.
