Siemens Sx66 Pda phone- not responding for hard reset-

I purchased the Sx66 pda phone yesterday and loaded some softwares.I opted for the password protection with simple four digits and entered the same. But some how i have forgotten the password and tried to hard reset the instrument as given in the manual in the case of forgetting the password. I hold down the power button and pressed the soft reset button simultaneously for 5 secs.But the hard reset could not be done and i get the same screen asking the password .I tried so many times the hard resetting but could not do it .The instrument is standing with the password demanding screen.How to solve this problem.
