When i try to play a new game it reacts slow to my commands. Its the new pro evolution game. This wasn't the case a few weeks ago. Im not sure whether its the ps3, the game or the controller. I have cleaned the game so im thinking it must be one of the other two, though i may be wrong.

If the tv reacts to the commands given with the buttons on it case then yes, the IR sensor has failed..

Original games should work unless you are trying to play a game from a different region, for example playing a PAL game on a NTSC console, check on pro evolution soccer to see what it states then check your wii sports and see what region its from make sure they are both the same. Otherwise the pro evolution soccer could be counterfeit.

Delete the game off the drive and play it from the disc for a bit, or is it a requirement of the multilayer to have it installed on the hard drive?

Then try loading it to the drive again.

If that doesn't help, you might have to format your hard drive, or if you have another drive around try the other drive.

That depends on the game settings.
For example if you are playing PES(Pro Evolutions Soccer) you will have use the settings which can be found in programmes files in a sub-folder names Pro Evolution Soccer or Konami (Depends).

What game do you want to play? go to options and in the game settings and choose the controller.
You can give me the name of the game so i can try and give specific settings.

This could just be the games server, a couple of weeks ago people were having the same problem with cod mw2, this just took a few hours for them to sort out, they are probably just doing maintenance, could he play another game, or read a book ; )

If you have resgistered the game thru the manufacturer (eg: EA Sports, Atari etc) then call their support line, they have this info in their databse.

I had the same problem. On the main options menu if you go down to the bottom theres an option for system settings or something like that. In here you can change the port settings. By default its set to port 3658 or whatever. I change it to the auto assign option and now its working fine. Hope that helps.

GO TO: Start>>>>Accessories>>>>>System Tools>>>>System Restore. restore the computer to the last date it ran.

I dont think it had anything to do with the game, but playstation 3's are fairly new and like the xbox 360 will have problems until they have been around. I know it sucks but about the only thing you can do is call sony and tell them the problem and chances are they will repair or replace it for free. Most likely they will already have an idea of what the problem is and be able to fix it and send it back fairly quick.
