Sir, can I upgrade my 10 year old Evesham Axis 1800 to USB 2.0?

It might be best to upgrade your computer to something newer. You can even find something used on www.craigslist,org or www.ebay.com. I wouldnt put any money into a 10 year old computer. If you really want to upgrade to USB 2.0 - you'll most likely have software issues to overcome, too. Without knowing the full situation, it wouldnt be right to advise you to put money toward upgrading anything on your computer. Good luck.

Try a good clean up.
Turn system restore OFF Lots of nasties hide there (Because its protected)
boot into safe mode with networking (F8)
Download Malwarebytes, and full scan
Download CCleaner run cleaner / registry cleaner / tools startup, you can disable just about everything apart from your antivirus, you can then re enable each item that you need.
Defrag, i use auslogics defrag with their screensaver defrag (all free)

Evesham Axis RD A-List failed HD - can't boot from CD

Sounds like the hdd is failing. Do you have a restore disk or OS disk? Or was there a restore partition on the failing hdd? Either way, it looks like your going to need a new hdd and at least a restore or OS disk. Not real familiar with the Evesham Axis.

I HAVE LOST MY RECOVERY DISC AND MANUAL WHEN MOVING HOME. hOW DO i ACCESS THE RECOVERY FILE ON THE HARD DRIVE TO RESTORE ?

Well, no mention of OS, so i'll guess.....

The files are located on a partitioned portion of the drive, usually a fairly full D drive...

your OS should have a create recovery disk option, usually in system tools, under accessories....

I have an Evesham Ebox and the motherboard has failed. It's details are; K9mgm-2 ms-7252 version 1.2. Do you know if it is possible to buy a replacement? Thanks

It does not appear as if that motherboard is still available for purchase. The only thing I can tell you to do is contact that Manufacturer directly and see if they can replace it. This will likely be very expensive though.
