Hi bpridgen,
try the rear usb port of your cpu and see if it works. also try it on another pc and see if it works so that we may be able to isolate the problem, whether its in your pc or of your flash drive.

recovery rate of dead flash is very low. hope you dont have much data in it.

:)

Keyboard won't respond after power surge

It's possible the keyboard was damaged with the loss of power. Do you have another usb slot to try? You can try updating your drivers sure but there is no guarantee that will help either. If you want to do that try using an automatic driver updater. It will quickly identify your hardware and locate the proper drive for each device.click and get a free scan. I recommend scanning your system at least once a month to make sure your driver stay up to date

Hi! Try to disable the Norton first, then try to use your printer again, if it works turn the Norton and take a look if the problem will still come up.

Hope this helps!

I have dell optiplex gx260 when i power it on its not respond and the fans not work only the light of power switch is being orange its flash, that it being on then off continously. please help me...

First test your PSU or replace it then test all leads that are attached to your hard drive sounds like a faulty lead of some sorts then
try replacing all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive or
replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
good luck

After a power outage my hp a710n won't respond or restart. a small flashing green light on the back of the hard drive is visible. what can i do?

You hear no sounds correct?

In the best of all worlds, your power supply is dead. That will cost around $50 to replace. If there was a power surge that hit the mother board, you are likely to have a fairly expensive repair.

If you have any sounds from the machine, please report them.

I was trying to go through recovery thinking I could get more speed on laptop and I messed comp. up. Only get a blank black screen. tried powering down, rebooting, still can't get on. Help!! i was trying...

Flashing the Bios is a LAST DITCH effort to resolve Hardware issues. You should NEVER flash the bios unless you are absolutely certain it's the correct bios for your computer, also NEVER flash bios from within windows..

There may however be a solution for you, Acer laptop computers with the Pheonix BIOS sometimes has a " flashback" feature, allowing you to revert to your original Bios..

You will need to contact Acer to get a Crisis Bios recovery disk from them. Or ask for further information on how exactly to recover from a bad bios flash.

Flash drive no longer can support readyboost

Hi

I need a bit more info to properly respond to your query regarding Microsoft ReadyBoast feature in Windows Vista and 2008 Server.

1. Has this particular Flash disk ever work?
2. How much free space is on the flash disk?
3. Is the Flash disk connect to an onboad port or a cabled port?
4. If this is a new device, does it support USB 2.0? What is the transfer spec from the manufacture?

Regards
Mike
